Ok, I had an idea for "downloadable" food. Stay with me here, I'll get to the juice in a minute. The basic idea is that you have a "printer" connected to your pc that will program "nutrient sheets" that are basically macronutrient wafers that contain various ratios of protein, fats, and carbohydrates. The printer codes the nutrient sheets for different tastes and whalla, you have what tastes like chicken pot pie or.. whatever.
Anyhow, along that same line of thought I imagine having a machine that programs "pills." These pills could be nano dna re-sequencers that re-code your dna (as others have mentioned) to your liking. But, this would be cool sans the nano-technology as well. Basically, the pills would be blanks of raw aminos and the programmer would organize them into whatever you wanted: igf-1, anavar etc. etc. If a person was a good enough programmer, you'd have all kinds of interesting new drugs being developed all the time.
