taxes.... about 48% right now (cause I have a kid... it was higher)

of my original country: FUCKING CHAVEZ
 
the gas prices at the present time
Id make it 99c a gallon and it just went up as the cost of living went up
instead of every day
 
Yeah, I agree with Klu...Gas prices need to be put to a halt. Even before I was permitted to drive, I was baffled by the fluctuation of gas. Also, the borders need to be barricaded so know more cucarachas get in.

Taxes should be lowered so people can give more to their church and let the church take care of the poor instead of the corrupt govt.

Not a bad idea, but I'd be less drastic & start it earlier as part of the school ciriculum(sp). & make the gym teachers less judgemental. The ones I recall, if you weren't a jock, or couldn't keep up, they ignored you. Too bad, so sad, you lose.

I have no idea why it seems that Christianity is the most hate filled relifion out there. I mean as far as the views of the believers I run into. They seem to be so happy to condemn someone to an eternity of pain and suffering it's insane. Why is this? I'd imagine a belief system based on unconditional love would have more tolerqant believers.

You are wrong. I don't want nobody to go to hell. I mean everytime I bbq and feel the heat coming off the grill I couldn't even imagine someone being in there. I would love for Christ to come back but there are so many lost people that I hope He waits until more people come to Him. And we are not hate filled either. We call sin sin and I don't think that is hatefull that is just factual.

Btw where do you get "unconditional" love?

You have no place to judge anyone. Only god can do that, you have no place to call sin sin. I get unconditional love from the idea that god is omnibenevolant. If he is all loving and if he is without fault, his love is unconditional.

You are right I have no place to judge anyone. God does that only he knows your heart and if you accepted His Son as your savior or not. But I can determine what is a sin or not through His word and the Holy Spririt. God is perfect and Holy so that is why He can not look at sin. And since He does love man(his creation) so much He sent His son to cover your sins. And if you choose not to accept this gift it is really your decision not to follow him and end up in hell for eternity.

Did he create everything? Is he perfect? How is there sin and imperfection if all was created by a perfect being? It would either had to have existed before god came about, or he imperfect.
 
Dude, he created us for enjoyment. The only way we could be perfect is for his not to give us freewill and it would get boring watching a bunch of robots don't you think?>

God's love is unconditional. But His requirements to get into heaven are, you must be without sin. To attin this He sent His Son to die for our sins. If you don't accept that Jesus died for our sins, then you don't get the benefit of His sacrifice, hence, you are still soiled & you can't get in to heaven. There's a lot more to it, but that is the condensed version.
 
BTW, the whole idea behind preaching isn't to say I'm better than you. you're a loser. It's to help you realize your errors & become perfect in God's eyes. Alot of people think Christians think they're better than others, that we think we're perfect.
Good Christians know we are not perfect. & knowing this we try to achieve perfection in God's eyes.

It's because it's all a bunch of bologna. Religion is just a "story" or maybe even a written account of someone taking things that happened on earth and making it sound greater than it was and claiming that "god" had made the things happen.

See, that's my thought. I think it was created to help people be better to each other, but the shit just got out of hand. But I will apparently go to hell for trying to see the good in all instead of focusing on some chump that got pinned up on a mideval peg board.

Second, God is God he can do what he wants. He gave you the choice to believe in His son or not. You don't have to but remember He is God and He can squash you like a bug then bring you back to life and then do it again. You can say that it is not fair but who are you going to complain to? He is GOD. MAn, sometimes people are so ignorant. I mean he isn't going to listen to you disagreements with the way he runs things the way you precieve it. He is going to crush you like a bug. Wise up dude before it is too late. It's God's world he just gave you life to enjoy it don't spit in His face because remember it is not fun to be squashed like a bug. No ONE CAN HELP you then. USe your brain and you will see the light. Hopefully.

Ok, I'll admit I'm new to reading the bible and studying religion. And this is purely a question!

But wouldn't that depend on if you are reading the New Testament or the Old Testament? I recall this briefly being mentioned in one of our bible studies.
