If there was ONE piece of advice you could give to a newbie, what would it be?

umm...no......I'd wait AT LEAST 6 months before I reccomended that to anyone who just set foot in the gym..........you f-up your back with incorrect form on these puppies early in the game, you can forget about them training again...........
i dont see how this really can be true when after those 6 months u stilla re a newbie deadlifter and need to learn form. when appropriate weight for learning and proper instruction is used i see no reason why deadlifting cant be started immediately. If he has the thought to come to a site and post about bodybuilding..... he is certainly smart enough to read and watch how to deadlift properly.

One piece of advice for training: Do what feels right for you. There will always be people who swear by exercises and think the whole world should, but Mr.Y's genetic structure may benefit more from other exercises.

One piece of diet advice: Whole food protien sources over shakes anyday.

I don't necessarily agree with all the people saying "Eat, eat, eat". It's totally dependent upon bodytype. If I, being an endomorph, were to start over again, I wouldn't eat nearly as much. It's all about gaining muscle, not gaining weight.
