If somebody marries your aunt

what's their relationship to you?

uncle...

Is your aunt a blood relative to you?? If she is then it's your uncle, if not he's nothing.
Technically no. She was actually adopted when she was a kid. Grandpappy DT was a standup dude. He promised his best friend if anything ever happened to him he'd take care of his daughters. Something did happen and Gramps followed thru despite being a farmer with 9 kids of his own.

If you call the woman Aunt _____ then out of respect for your aunt's feelings you call the gentleman in question Uncle _____.

If the woman was legally adopted by Grandpa DT then she's family by law, the same as if she were blood.

They're your aunt and uncle.

She died of cancer last month. She's not feeling much of anything thankfully.

Wow talk about a weird sort of trick question. I'm sorry for your loss, DT :(

I assumed from the wording of the original question that this was a new marriage and you were at a loss as to what to call the husband. Is it safe to say the gentleman had been married to your aunt for some time? In theory, her death should have changed nothing about your relationship with him, unless you've never liked him and were only nice to him for her sake, in which case, all bets are off :whatever:

He's husband #2. I've never met him. Her daughter from husband #1 is getting married next week and I'm sure he'll be there.

In this case, I actually wouldn't call him Uncle, I'd probably address him by his given name.

Aunt and Uncle can almost be terms of endearment, you know, that encompass family and non family.

If he's Nordic, he's Uncle Swede, if he's Irish, he's Uncle Mick, if he's MIA, he's Uncle Johnny and his best friend, Fabio.

What kin is the daughter of a cousin to you?

Which one kissing cousins? 2nd or something? So how far do you have to go for fucking cousins? (non south)
