contact their agency.. do not try to contact them directly.. my boss recently hired a big band but only played for charity events so he donated a large amount to a charity, paid them and called it a charity event
how do i know who their agency is? and that their legit about who they say they are?

Pollstar.com is a huge industry website. Try to goggle the William Morris Agency. Go to the bands website....9 out of 10 times their agencies contact info is on the site somewhere. Contact a local bar or club that books live acts for help. Most agencies won't touch a private person trying to book an act. Be prepared to pay large sums of cash in advance ie one half. Good luck.
