If I take r-ALA, do I still need milk thistle?

From what I've read, r-ALA protects the liver just as milk thistle. Is this true?

depends on what other supplements you are taking with the R-Ala, the Milk Thistle would be good if you are running anything Liver Toxic, (Ie some various anabolics)
