IE8 - Upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 this weekend

Google Chrome - Download a new browser

Used FF for years, now this is my main browser. Excellent for viewing web site source code.

RG - stats claim about the same usage numbers for both FF and varying versions of IE....shit, almost 20% of users still use the abomination that was/is IE6. I hope they burn in hell.

I tried chrome a while ago and had some problems.

How firefox doing??? I simply don't want to have to play with anything. I use to fool with software all the time and hardware too but it's just not worth it to me any more.

Works with everything??? I've been watch TV on my brower lately and that works pretty well. Hulu etc.

I use primarily Opera, although there are a couple of things that have compatibility issues with Opera, I still prefer it.

I do keep FireFox as a back up though.

Are you using RC1, or has it gone gold? Two or three weeks ago I heard from several people who got the upgrade to IE8 through their "Yellow Shield" monthly update, but it still doesn't seem to be on Windows Update yet. The IE8 download page still has it at "Release Candidate 1" status. They seem to be rolling it out to users slowly.

Wonder if they fixed their backdoor entry from the viruses. I was using IE but I stopped when I heard that there was a virus that was getting in. Back to firefox for me.

Both browsers have regular updates when new vulnerabilities are discovered.

I've been trying to get used to Chrome this week. It's lil iffy with Flash. At one it was using 600MB RAM while I was watching Tour of California video online.
