Iced Earth

So you don't have a preference whether their S/T is better/worse than Something Wicked? Or any other album? I have never heard of anyone not preferring one era/album/lineup over another... (except Manowar, but they are the exception to the rules... actually, they make the rules... they are the Kings of Metal, the loudest band in the world (yes, they made the Guiness Book of World Records) shit, I got on a Manowar tangent again...).

Hail and Kill

I just bought the new single and all I can say is...WOW! It contains four songs. The Reckoning is the first track and it just shreds. Ripper's vocals sound better than when he was with Priest.

Just bought that myself. Funny the cover kinda reminds me of "The Trooper" bt Iron Maiden. Ripper sounds great and I'm kinda hopin for a tour of Judas Priest with Iced Earth as support band.

Yea being a huge Maiden fan, I really did not care for the cover. But, that disk rocks.

I've been hoping for a Maiden/Iced Earth tour. Doubt that will ever will happen with Maiden slowing down the tour plans.

I'm glad some of you know who Iced Earth is....I saw them on tour when The Dark Saga came out, and have been a fan ever since...If you haven't seen them live, check them out...They are the best live band out there....I was also kind of floored when Matthew Barlow left the band, but Tim Owens sounds awesome!! I'm not one for change, but give the guy a chance...From the single, Owens tears it up! Iced Earth simply rules....

I guess I'm going to have to go buy it then.

According to their website the new Iced Earth CD comes out next Tuesday.

They also changed direction in the lyrics. No dark fantasy this time. It's all about war as far back as from the revolutionary up to 9-11

Yea, I think I read that one of the songs is 32+ minutes long. It's called Gettysburg. I believe there is a DVD video planned for this song as well.
