Natty - you're a good guy and remember what I told you. You might not have been able to help your bro in life, but you helped him in death. You held his hand and comforted and loved him as he passed.... a very precious gift. YOU ARE A GIFT!
We can't always make sense of life circumstances, but everything happens for a reason... Even though we often struggle throughout our lives to make sense of it all and search for those reasons. It isn't good to dwell on that struggle and that quest. Let this struggle go... it does no good. Eventually, everything will either come to be clear to you or at the very least have some sort of resolution.
Nobody could save him... BUT ultimately you let him KNOW YOU LOVED HIM. How many of us will be so fortunate? To have someone that WE KNOW LOVES US there to comfort us so that we wont be afraid when it is the end of our days....
Many of us will search for that feeling of love and comfort throughout our entire lives, perhaps never truly feeling it in life and certainly not have it as we pass.......
There is nothing that I or anyone else can say that will take your pain, baby... nothing. Only time can do that.
But I want you to understand and realize one thing: You are truly a gift.... never forget that!
