I would like another baby...

I've been thinking that my little family is not yet complete and would like another baby. Being that I'm not in a relationship and will be 39 in March, I'm thinking of adopting a baby girl. I've been praying for God to give me a sign and to bring a baby who needs me into my life. We will see.

Anyone here adopted or have adopted children? What are your experiences?

My uncle adopted a 4 month old North Korean child. He is 12 now. Just visited him and the family this past week. He is a great kid.

All they need is love. That is all that matters. You would be an excellent candidate for adopting a child.

i just know that i wouldnt take too kindly to peeps on an internet forum whom i dont even know, trying to tell me what i can and cant handle in my own personal life. especially people who are struggling with their own lives as it is, catch my drift? i guess its a pet peeve of mine when people insist on imposing themselves on others like that.

Imposing is not always good, but suggestions are ok, but yes I catch your drift (wink wink) ;-)

blue, i remember my dad threatening to stop the car and leave us on the side of the road. but thats all he ever had to do. he instilled this fear in us and we did not for one minute doubt that he would do it. still to this day he brings this up with pride that he would threaten us like that and we would actually fall for it!

My Dad was a softy and we were not afraid of him.
My Mom on the other hand, all she had to do was give us the Irish look of death and we knew.
She actually gave it to me today cause I pissed her off.
She left me on the side of the road ;-)

lol my parents are the opposite
well my Dad was the authoritarian
my Mom wasnt a softie at all but she didnt do much if any disciplining

No. well, im lenient i guess and some things i let slide. but for a lot of things i have stringent rules that i picked up from my childhood lol poor kid.
he's spoiled and i know it. but he's a great kid
