Good point. Now could it be that your friend packaged all fucked up that was obvious what it contained? In another words you can feel it was tabs through the package and also 1600 tabs thats alot for one package should of done multiple packages. Where the Tabs loose or in original package from factory? I also wondered what flagged them to get your email addy are you using AOL or something? I think they already had you before that package was mailed b/c for them to have your email addy and all the info that was sent back and forth. Also is your friend email addy from thailand? maybe there were monitoring email addys from that country compare to soemone from there using elite email addy I guess its not even worth having MBE at all safer at your house? well, folks, i had an arraginment, pleaded not guilty, 2 weeks later had a preliminary hearing, they offered me a plea for 1 year in jail, i asked my p.d. for a better offer, they did, but she said they wouldnt accept a simple possession so i said no, so really the plea changed to 3 years probation, 1 year stayed county jail (go to jail if u fuck up) and 90 days cal-trans, but i kept thinking this was only for pleading to simple possession. she then told me she would request it again, so we got it, and we were ready for the plea, but as the D.A. says i plea no contest to possession for sale, therefore gets 3 years probation, 1 year stayed county, jail, etc. my p.d. then interrupts her and asks 'i thought this was for simple possession and not possession for sale'. the d.a. says no, so they got mixed up but meanwhile i keep thinking that the plea is still 1 year in jail, so i didnt take it, then the prelim begins and people's won over me after the detective testified against me. now after this finished, i told my p.d. 'wait, i remember the d.a. reading my plea for possession for sale and not getting 1 year in jail but the same plea as for simple possession. she looked at me like she fucked up, because she didnt tell me this!! i told her that and she said 'look i dont want you to rush this and make a bad decision. basically, the 1 year in jail changed to 3 years prob. without me knowing. now my p.d. is requesting it back for me, and they said no. what does this mean? can i talk to the d.a. or the judge and tell them my p.d. didnt tell me everything????? dammit. but anyways, they dont have much against me. this is the only evidence: the detective so called knowledge of steroid use/abuse, THEIR pharmaceutical doctor's opinion (which is very fuckin limited because the substance is banned which made the detective look stupid, let me get to that in a sec) and the amount which was approx. 1600 thai anabol tabs.
here are some of the questions my p.d. asked the detective:
how many years are you a det.

how many years in the steroid thing?
-6 years
what made you determine shawn would have it for sale and not simply use it?
-the amount, our doctors opinion and his stature. (like it matters anyways, you have to start somewhere)
did you see any items he would use to send/sell it?
-yes and no, you could package it in anything.
ok, but were there any envelopes?
-no
was there a scale? (i have no idea, obviously the p.d.'s first gear case)
-no, you dont weigh the stuff
but was there a scale?
-no
what did your team doctor (dr. heinez) have to say about shawn
-taking 10 tabs a day, like shawn claims, would have to consume in 160 days which our doctor says would be too much to prescribe at any one time (this gets good, he looks dumb..listen)
what is dr. heinez's experience with prescribing this?
-its a banned substance so he wouldnt prescribe it
oh ok, well then he doesnt have any experience prescribing it.

is it common for people to take steroids on a cycling basis? where you can go on for 8-12 weeks and then take off about the same time and go back on?
-yes, well theres alot of variations (he explains it a little, but only explains the pyramiding way of cycling (fuckin moron will get moded in trial when he finds out people are starting out at 30mg and ending up at 75mg. some guys on here have went up to 100mg a day, just because i dont look like i use that much, doesnt mean i wont take that much. ive went up to 15-16 a day, i love dbol. i was just telling this to my p.d. actually she responded and said, 'right, even if a doctor prescribed you 200 of these, you could still take 200 in one shot')
so is it possible shawn could have went on 10 tabs/day for a period of 8-12 weeks, then take off the same time and go back on?
-depends on the individual, if he would go back on, then yes

there were more questions, but i lost the hearing. she tells me 99% of the hearings are lost anyways. i would think the same, because if i won the hearing, that means they wouldnt ave had ANY evidence at all to prove im guilty so i wouldnt be arrested in the first place so i guess im cool then. my p.d. tells me i have a good chance in winning a simple possession charge, but not dismissing the case. she tells me if i lose i could get 3 years in the state prison, but im a first offender, so i might get 6 months to a year in jail. but it looks like i have a very good chance in getting a simple possession. well big fuckin wow, i dont want to do time for shit. i keep thinking i will lose, but there is not much evidence to prove i sold anything. btw, if i win a simple possession, i still get 3 years probation, and 90 days cal-trans (community service) but no 1 year stayed county jail. and it would be OFF my record.

damn shawn, sorry to hear that...I don't know how the hell the intent to distribute is sticking...I guess 3 yrs probation isn't bad to intent to sell but that's bullshit for $200 worth of tabs. Someone has their head up their ass and isn't very educated. That's what is so hard about the steroid cases, not many lawyers, doctors, or PD's are well versed in the usage. The doctor sounds like a moron, he obviously has no idea about the competitive level. They need to talk to trainer or doctors of the pro athletes to see what is really used. I hope things start to look up for you...
On a side note, I was arraigned about a week ago for my controlled delivery. The official charge is "possession of oxymetholone without a prescription", it was for 200 anadrol. I have to go back in 4 weeks to see what happens. Should be easily bargained down. Did they say anything about steroid testing while you are on probation?

They never tested me once for anything even though I was obviously jacked & "on" the whole time I was on Probation. They can't afford the Steroid test I would think. I was only on Probation for 1 year though. You are getting screwed Shawn btw!!! There has got to be a reason why they are being so hard on you man!! Something you aren't telling us. I know it. No way they ask for that long probation or even SUGGEST any jail time if this is your first offense. So whats the story????

Unless there is some special pressure not to offer a plea, prosecutors will very frequently offer a "deal." I hate to say this, but just because they offered you a deal does not necessarily mean that they have a weak case. In any case, your lawyer should be able to tell you exactely what evidence they have against you, since the prosecution is required to turn their evidence over to the defense. Good luck.

Best of luck to you my brother, but when in trouble talk to your lawyer first.
I agree, they offer deals because there isn't a ton of room in the jails, they would rather have some 20 year old that was doing AAS out on the street than some guy that beats his wife 15 times a year, or a 4 time offender of a DWI, or any number of more serious charges than possession of aas.
There is almost ALWAYS a plea offered, it saves the city, county, and state money, and if they feel that the fines you are forced to pay, and the probation or short jail time will scare you straight, then great for them, offer a plea. It doesn't mean they have no evidence.
I think you got a pretty damn good case actually, it could be a lot worse, I would try and find out where they got your computer files from and find out if they had a search warrant. They may not need a search warrant to scan your emails, but they sure as hell do to scan your computer, and or bank account used to WU money.

I am with Zerxes. I know many people in the police community and this seems a bit out of hand for a small amount of AAS. There must be something else you are not telling us. Did they narcotics at your place? Do you have a history? Something is not right with the story the way you tell it.

i dont know why you guys think im not telling you everything, but stop scaring me. my p.d. told me they dont have much evidence. just the detective and doctor's knowledge about it (pretty limited and just circumstantial) and the amount (1600 thai dbol). they probably think this is an insane amount of dbol, but i use about 500 per cycle and im sure ALOT of people are using 50mg/day like i said i was.
i really am telling you everything. i dont have a past record. i cant believe they suggested jail time, but right now it is going to trial, and i have no control over that. i have superior court arraginment next tuesday. god be with me. i hope i will be found not guilty, but then again, who can convince the jury that i was buying alot for a year supply for my personal use. i hope i can. god damn, i drive a fuckin '93 fucked up ford thunderbird, i make $7.00 per hour, i live with my mom, im 20 years old, i have no past record, and i only had $67.00 on me when i was arrested. i have no idea whats going on. and i thought they dont offer pleas when they have alot of evidence. my p.d. told me i should go along with trial and that i have a very good chance of getting a simple possession punishment which will be 3 years probation. life sucks. i hope someone puts a bomb somewhere i go and i just fuckin die!!

Relax and mellow out. It sounds like you will be fine. Stay away from the gear while on probation and things will work out. I have never been in much trouble other than extreme motorcycle speeding (160+), but I have come a very long way from where I was and anything is possible in your life.
Deal with this the best you can and stay focused on moving forward in life and ALWAYS improve yourself. It will come to pass and you will be on your way. Your life is what you make of it and it is your responsibility to do something with it. In 80 years this incident will be very minor.
