What are projections like in 12 years for transportation... Kurzweil author of singularity is near, is very optimistic and transportation for flying shit maybe here before 2030 he predicts...

yea they want to do it and have gotten some federal money, but it's still in the planning phase and nothing is being built. So this definitely won't exist any time soon, and I think there's a chance it won't be built at all.

As for flying cars nobody is even thinking about that stuff with the energy crisis. Maybe a couple people will have something but it won't be anywhere near mainstream. even simple car transportation is unsustainable as it is, so a new fuel system would definitely need to be developed if we were to get flying cars. and it would take till 2030 at least before even cars have a respectable hydrogen fuel infrastructure, so flying cars are way further off i think
