Your not getting off the hook that easy.
Do tell.
Be as descriptive as possible.

This is definitely a repost.

I had some drama going on and I needed to get away. In April, I went to Disney World, for a break and to get away from real life. I took the train down from NYC and fell in love with the scenery. After 3 days, of Mickey and thinking, I decided to move to Florida. For about a 6 weeks, I did some research, checked the papers and job search websites and couldn't find work for the type of law I specialize in as a paralegal. So, in June, I decided on another city, Washington D.C. I posted my website on washingtonpost.com and applied for a position. I received a call for an interview. I took a Greyhound down that following Monday for the day to D.C (I believe it was the 4th of June).

Received an offer on Tuesday, resigned on Wednesday, and went back down to the D.C. area that weekend to look for an apartment. I went back down the following weekend to sign the lease that Saturday (the 14th/15th of June), came back to NYC. On Monday I withdrew every dime I saved in my 401K, stock program, and then 2 weeks later I was opening a bottle of Cabernet in my empty apartment.

Haven't looked back since.

Sweet.

Looks like every lined up for you though...

Thanks for sharing.

Oh, how old were you? Was it hard to start life again?(Outside of work).

Easy to meet new people? etc

I was 22.

NO, it wasn't hard at all. I've always been comfortable with being alone, so that wasn't hard at all. I live in a suburb of D.C., so its still a decent pace (reminds me alot like Queens, NY, where I'm originally from). My apartment complex is across the street from my gym, hair salon, CVS, a supermarket, 10 minute walk from a mall, and near lots of restaurants, a mile from the subway stop and plenty of buses & cabs run through my neighborhood (I don't have a license) so I have everything I need near me.

I will say dating was hard. I'm the typical independent, New York female. Needless to say, men from this area and I don't mix well. Until recently, I only dated men from the Northeast that relocated to this area (made things alot easier). Meeting people wasn't hard at all. This area is transient (no one stays here too long), so their are websites and organizations that plan events so people could meet. Also, the D.C. nightlife is okay, so there is plenty to do.

of people who just said "fuck this shit" and moved to another city.

How did it go?

Kinda, but it was more like "fuck this shit and these looser-fuckers" and went to college... which, in essence, is the same thing as 'moved to another city'.

It went pretty well, I guess, seeing as how none of my old friends have really gone anywhere in their lives.

I basically did that when I joined the Air force. My life was in the shitter and I had driven away almost all my friends. I said, "Fuck IT! I'll go join the military. Anything to get out of this life I have right now!" And ended up in many different cities.
