It makes sense. He probably grew up and was picked on by immigrants, such as Speedy Gonzales. He didn't live in as nice a place as Jerry, so he felt like less of a... mouse.

He decided that to make something of himself, he would work out - show everyone that he wasn't so weak and small.

I've personally seen him lift some heavy shit like cars and rocks over his head with one hand - and he could fly.

That leads me to believe that he did pretty heavy cycles of fina, pcp, and crystal meth.

I think the original story goes like Mightmouse got his power after having been given some chemicals in a lab which made him invincible.... Watching Mightymouse as a kid is what made me into a Steroid user in my adult life... it is all clear now.
