I think I know the answer...but help

Why do I gain 3 pounds right like the next day that i start lifting if I take some time off? Is it that my muslces are holding water?? I know I lifted hard because I still can't walk from squats on Monday.....so anyone know the answer :qt:
 
water weight...my scale weight has shifted 8 pounds on the same day b4
 
I thought I had read once that your muscle holds on to water as it repairs.....just wondering if that is true
 
muscle damage will draw water yes....as will other things like excess tanning and shaving....


...the last two are inportant if you compete

yep....but Im talking about extreme low levels of BF to begin with.......shaving and tanning will cause sub-Q water to seep under the skin...

Prior to my first comp I also had a "relaxation massage" which also helped pull out any additional subQ water.
 
Ijust noticed that this happens everytime and when I stop working out 4-5 times a week I lose it
