I survived!!!

Well my parents made a surprize visit to the gym this morning.... You know it is amazing no matter how old you are...sometimes your parents still make you feel like you are 16, and just got caught sneaking out of the house...

I was teaching when they showed up...My mom's first comment, in her never very quiet voice, was "OMG...look what you are wearing? Put some clothes on.."
And then she rattled into a conversation of "nice girls don't need to go gallavanting....blah, blah, blah" My dad, at this point, had already tuned my mom out and was scoping out the ladies in my class...lol

Comment 2...Always predictable..."Have you been eating?"..(pointing to my abs) I can see your ribs..that does not look very healthy. And I can see the veins popping out of your arms.. My dad at this point, knows it is time to add something to the conversation..."Yeah "toga" you look great....Ummm, It was your mom's idea to come here."

Comment 3...My mother, even though she is in her 50's is a hard core flirt..and I think she still thinks she is 25...

"well, running around in clothes like that...you would think that you would be able to find yourself a boyfriend." (she winks at my co-worker) and says "what about this fine looking boy...have you dated him?"

What a long day...lol!! I need a tall glass of Captain!!

OMG!! that's a great story.. I think it is one omst people can relate to.

My mom sounds like your mom.. you're getting too big.. you need to eat more your skin is too thin.. you spend too much time at the gym... it can't be healthy..

and it has a broken record effect... I hear it everytime I see her.

My entire family is overweight except for myself and my dad....and I get the same thing.....I also get this "why do you take all those pills? If you can't do it on your own then it isn't worth doing it"...they were amnios and liver tabs

This is what I do to get back at my mom...I call her by her mother's name...she hates it!
