Ender,
Dude, for one thing, I don't visit chatrooms. A board like this is different. But I understand your point.
I don't know what is possible. When I broke up with my ex a few years back (we eventually reconciled for a while) I dated other people (which she was aware of, but not of specifics, something we both agreed to).
Six months into the reconciliation she found a letter from someone I had dated during the break up. She confronted me, I was upfront about what had occured, and assured her it was over with before we reconciled.
I don't know how she did it, but from the sketchy info on the letter she was able to use the internet to track the girl down, including her e-mail addies, actual addresss, etc etc. She literally spent weeks doing this behind my back. They exchanged correspondence and I think even talked on the phone. The point being that an aggressive and clever person can track anyone down that they wish. There is so much information on each of us in the public domain. The anonymity of an e-mail handle is more easily pierced than I think most of us imagine.
Jokes stop being funny to me when they screw with someones actual life. Sending someone without cash, and having them incure debt they already acknowledged they can't afford, isn't funny. It's just sadistic. Bragging about it afterwards is demonstrative of the fact this individual thinks what he did was not only acceptable but clever. I think it was just stupid and low. No more clever than keying someones car, or flattening their tires.
