I need some advice on sleeping aids

What would be the best sleeping aid, and not some shitty one over the counter that can help me get a normal nights sleep.

Im on fina at the moment and in the past 48 hours I have had absolutely no sleep. I try to sleep but I just cant, I want something effective but not addictive as I want to finish using it after the cycle!!

I feel for ya bud'.I've suffered from sleep deficiency for a few years now,but since i've been hitting 20mg valium a night and half a teaspoon full (2.5gms) of ghb i'm out like a light,and most importantly it's that deep,rem sleep.:fro:
 
Hello again mr IG...

I find inositol in a large dose is good for sleeping... 5HTP is good also... both enhance serotonin action.. and both are avilable from health shop... take a few grams of inositol and 1 tab of 5HTP...
 
THE MUSCLE RELAXERS SOMA=CARISPODAL AND FLEXERL=CYCLOBEZAPRINE ARE BOTH GOOD FOR PROMOTING SLEEP. I TAKE 2-3 SOMA AND I HIT THE GROUND LIKE 3 MINS LATER! TRY THEM OUT THEY ARE BOTH VERY GOOD.
 
The most effective natural substance I've used is L-Tryptophan powder. Use 1 or 2 teaspoons in some juice before bed. Don't combine with a high protein meal--interferes with uptake. Costs less than 5htp too. Hard to find, though, since it can only be purchased for "animal use" due to a tainted chinese batch years ago. Got mine from www.biochemicals.com. $40 usd for 50grams. Really works. Hope this helps.:angel:

i heard 5 grams will raise hgh levels very high is this true ? and im gonan start takign it to help fight depression i tired paxil did shit
 
GHB Works Wonders

If you really want a restful sleep and feel refreshed in the morning with no hangover then try about one soda cap full of GHB mixed with an equal amount of water. It works great and there is evidence that it also encourages the production of GH as well.
 
like quiks said flexeril will knock you out pretty good. i blew my back out and they prescibed it for muscle relaxation.
 
REM sleep isn't deep sleep. In deep sleep, where the brain is in Delta waves, there isn't enough activity to produce dreams. A lot of people think that dreaming means you are sleeping deeply. Actually dreams occur at the onset of sleep, or just before waking. A night full of dreams probably indicates a night of incomplete sleep. Just my .02 incase anyone wanted to know.

did you notice any lbm gains on tyrptophan i hear a does of 5 grams raise serum gh liek ghb does ?
 
First if you want tryptophan just drink some milk ...... and nothing has proved tryptophan to directly contribute to muscle gain. Tryptophan just raises serotonin which along with dopamine and Gamma amino butyric acid, contribute to NREM sleep. The most restful sleep state. But during sleep you run in cycles of 80% NREM and 20% REM sleep usually, and if you're getting a majority of REM slepp during the night it is most likely you will wake up exhausted. You can buy GABA.
 
NyQuil liqui-caps. Or if you wanna break out the big guns (as fas as over the counter is concerned), get KnockOut. It has Kava Kava, Valerian Root, and Melatonin in it. You can get it from EcKerds and other drug stores, its a little pricey though.
Try not to rely on drugs to get ya to sleep though, maybe some kind of lifestyle change would help. I usually have to rely on them myself to, so I'm not one to give advice I reckon...
 
Hey Bro, personally I take 3mls of GHB or 14 butendiol,,,right before I hit the sack,and I'm out like a light and feel great in the morning. Try it out, see if it works for you.

THE LOW DOWN ON OTC SLEEP AIDS

I was hunting for GHB for a while thinking it would be the only thing that worked for me - but couldn't find any at all. I tried some stuff called tranquili-g (advertised as a GHB substitute), but it didn't do the trick for me at all.

Finally, I started looking at OTC stuff and found some things that really worked.

First - the two major OTC sleep aids are very similar (Diphenhydramine and Doxylamine Succinate), but for me they had different effects. They are both anti-histamines, and are perported to be the same in terms of qualitative effects, but the recommended dose of the doxy worked for me whereas the diphen did not. Worst thing is, it seems that you build up some sort of resistance - the more days I'm on the less and less tired it makes me. First night knocked me on my ass.

Then you have stuff from the health food store:

Melatonin - a natural hormone related to sleep - it really does work when you find the right dose (very small amounts can work -even .5 mg), but for me I tend to feel a bit tired the next day when I take a high dose.

5-HTP - one step closer to seratonin than tryptophan, so seems to be a nice replacement for Tryp now that the FDA has outlawed it (which blows my mind - they took it off because of one single bad batch - of course cigarrettes kill hundreds of thousands of people a year and they're legal - go figure). Seratonin, of course, is a neurotransmitter that is related to sleep and sense of well-being.

ZMA - (zinc as monomethionine and aspartate - two forms of bioavailable zinc) from what I understand (and from my experience) doesn't help you sleep, but improves the quality of muscle repair that can occur in healthy sleep by raising certain hormone levels.

Valerian - naturopathic herb that is alleged to improve sleep. I haven't tried it by itself, so I'm not sure...

As I write this, I took 25mg of Doxylamine Succinate, 1.5 mg Melatonin, and 100MG 5-htp 30 minutes ago. I'm starting to get drowsy now.

Bro, I know how hard it is to get good sleep. It's my problem, too, but you just gotta do it - even if you're pumped and wanting to stay awake. Without it, you simply won't grow. I hope the above info helps. Without a prescription, you should be able to find a combination of the above that will knock you on your ass and keep you there for the night.

Good post roger karma for you. Doxylamine Succinate is an active ingredient in Nyquil and IMO works alot better than Diphenhydramine, that stuff gives me nervous shakes when I take just 50mg of it. Somas are good however not nearly as habit forming as opiates or tranquilizers, and I've found I build up a resistance to any muscle relaxants- somas, cyclobenzaprine, skelaxin just like you would with narcotics. Ambien is much better for restful sleep than any benzodiazepine and you don't wake up with a groggy hangover. G works EXTREMELY well, almost too good:D and you get very deep sleep. Speaking of sleep I'd better get some I've only had about 1.5 hours in the last 36 hours. I'd go with soma, G or ambien. Fuck valium unless you want sleep for 15 hours straight:rolleyes:
