I need a new hairstyle

I don't have short hair, so I'm not sure how you could change it. Here are a few pic's of short hair I think are nice.
How short / what kind of change were you thinking about? I can try to find a pic if you give me an idea.

Hmm...kind of hard to suggest something w/out any pics of what your hair is like. But, what I usually do when I get tired is look at magazines (not hair mags) but regular magazines w/ celebrities sportin' their do's. You might want to grow out your bangs a bit, then hit the salon & let them work their magic!!

My hair is the same length and when I went in for a cut a week ago they gave me bangs. It was scary but they're angle cut and SO cute.

I'm all for asking the stylist for suggestions. They're usually chock full of ideas.

I had the same hair for YEARS and YEARS. It was one length, long (mid-lower back). I have wanted a change for awhile, but didn't want a cut before the wedding (in case I hated it).
I finally went and got 10 INCHES cut off. It is now just below my shoulders with a little layers in it. I am going back in a couple weeks to get another cut - I want another 1-2 inches cut and some LONG bangs. I'm thinking Britney Spears, when she had short hair. I;ll try to find a pic.

I second the idea about looking in mags - like US, Star, In Touch, even People.

i work in a restaurant(for now) and i wear a stinkin hat....but when i dont, i want my hair to be nice and easy to manage. but i do like the blonde in the picture
havnt decided about growing the bangs out tho, right now they are alittle too long and drive me crazy

Thats Mandy Moore, she always has great 'shorter' hair. Look her up for ideas.

I'm in the same boat. When my hair gets long it is too fine to hold any shape. I've got some whacko layers going that are getting frizzy too. So, I'm going in tomorrow (day off!) to get it cut & hi-lighted, but I"m gonna hit up their "image consultant' for some input first.

We'll see what I come out w/. The reality is I usually end up w/ the same thing i've had my whole life. Long, straight. I do know short just doesn't work for me. <tries to block out the 'Billy Idol" phase I passed thru...>

My hair is really fine too. I hate it short, so I keep it long. I put a few extensions in evry week to add volume to it. You could always try that. It takes about 20 min. a week to put in, 20 min to comb out, repeat.

I am sure it looks great now to but when I meet one thing I couldn't get over was how amazing you hair is you could do a pantie comercial.

It is SO healthy now. No split ends, no dryness, so so soft. I love it. I do miss the longer hair, but now I can actually STYLE it, which is fun. Plus, I feel MUCH more professional now.

I get mine highlighted also, one reason because i like it highlighted but another reason to put some body in my hair....give it some texture..she also uses a straight blade razor to add some texture.....i guess it happens with age, my hair used to be awfully textured....well i havent worn it this long in years tho.....i used to wear my hair so short that i had to shave the back of my neck alot lol.

I forgot about this thread - I was due for a highlight & trim last thurs. I went to a high-end salon locally and ended up getting the full overhaul. I ended up getting about 5" cut off, highlights, lowlights, even some gold / red. I've now got something like the brunette but blond and a little straighter.

It's different shorter. Definitely different. Much lighter! But I can still pull it back in a ponytail for the gym. It will also grow out much more evenly and without all those mystery layers from the last 2 haircuts.

well my hair looks sort of like this pic, the ends flip out, well they did when she fixed it, i have GOT to take the time to fix my hair sometimes except i kept the bangs and its in layers.....but looks alot like that thanks guys
