hey guys i have a situation i hope yall can help me out with. i'm currently on cycle and my strength gains are good and steady but for some reason my weight doesn't seem to be going any higher! i'm thinking i need to add more calories or something but idk for sure. what do you guys think, what should i do?

edit: i've been having a craving for some Burger King lately, should go get something and shock my body with the extra calories? just a thought, take it or throw it right back.

the scale is a liar lots of the time (meaning it doesn't show your lean gains if you drop fat and water). use a mirror and a tape measure.
 
my bad i just didn't think any of that was necessary. 21, 173lbs, 5'11,
1-4 tbol 50mg/ed
1-12 500 test
9-12 proviron 50mg/ed
i'm in week 7 right now.

actually i am losing bf but i didn't have a whole lot to begin with so it's not really noticeable. i'll start taking measurments tho.
 
yea bro if u got no bf% to begin with u prob a hardgainer .. up the cals/protein and CUTOUT ALL CARDIO imo if u looking to put on weight
 
also dont rule out that the gear might be bunk !! could be possible

b.) What's your BMR? How many calories are you eating now? I don't know why people don't take the time to calculate this. Why waste all that gear and just guess how many calories you need. blah!
 
great info guys. i am a hardgainer for sure, ectomorph or something like that. i'm gonna stop warming up before i go to the gym then. and eat more obviously lol.

what is BMR? and i'm eating about 5,500 a day if i did it right. probably more on the weekends though. also where do i go to find out how many calories i need to meet my needs?

5,500 cals a day? u must be doing it wrong..that is enough to gain weight WITHOUT steriods ..

^^if this is a true statement.Your a true ectomorph. You have to eat tons just to maintain your weight. You burn calories just standing still.. A guy like yourself might want to consider about 300-400 grams of protein a day with another 500 grams of carbs. Make the rest of the calories up with some fats.
working out wise .. A moderate amount of volume with really heavy weights. I'd pick about 3 exercises per muscle group and do about 2-3 sets of 4-6 reps. I'd take long rests and strive to lift heavy weights.
 
i think i did it wrong actually because i figured up my BMR and apparently i eat almost twice as much as i use. i don't think it's possible not to gain weight doing this unless my metabolism is freakishly high (it is fast but i don't think it's that fast). i'm gonna recalculate how much i take in to see if i come up with the same answer... either way i guess i'm just gonna stop my cardio warm up before the gym and up my protein and carbs like someone said before.

this is a question as i beleive you know more about this than me. arent ecto's suposed to stay away from heavy low rep sets. i have heard that they are far more injury prone on heave lifts.
