i cannot even read the book because i have a good idea of what he has to say and it is just too much to contemplate--the next 25-40 years hangs in the balance....methinks storm clouds are forming--err formed.

That book is a fascinating read. I would highly recommend it. One wouldn't think it would be very engaging, but it is.

Well, he spoke at the Kentucky Bar convention today, and he said precisely that. he discussed how the appointments of the past have shaped the balance of the court and then said that it will be very interesting to see whether McCain or Obama is elected. He went on to speculate that Obama will end up on the Supreme Court at some point whether or not he is elected president. I found that an interesting prediction.
