I love it

I love this lifestyle, I love training, I love resting, I love swaining food, I love everything that goes with it.

Sorry for the outburst, wont happen again :fro:

"Normal people" must have more time and money on their hands, but I cant understand what motivates them to get out of bed in the morning...

Well even given that training itself and everything that goes with it is enjoyable it is the fact that we have a goal we are working towards.

A goal is an objective, a purpose. A goal is more than a dream; it's a dream being acted upon. A goal is more than a hazy "Oh, I wish I could." A goal is a clear "This is what I am working toward." Nothing happens, no forward steps are taken until a goal is established. Without goals people just wander through life, they stumble along never knowing where they are going. No wonder there are so many people who think life is meaningless (besides faiths), too many people have nothing they "live" for.

No apology necessary. I think we can all relate to you. Most people would consider working out a hobby or some kind of recreational activity. It's a way of life for me. My life revolves around working out and getting stronger. When do I eat next, what time do I have to be in bed, the list goes on. I spend free time at my job working on perfecting my training cycle and my diet or cruising these boards and the internet searching for more knowledge. I often wonder about "normal" people. I couldn't imagine not living like I do. It is so gratifying and exciting!

I agree with you bro . . .aint it great?;)

I agree.

Remember in Rocky II, between one of the later rounds Micky is telling Rock he is going to stop the fight and Rocky shakes his head left to right and states, "its my life", with the blood pouring out of him. Thats how I feel about training. Thats how I feel when I have ripped a muscle, or tore a hammy, or broke a set of big toes. I keep going bc it's my life, my body and I will do whatever it take to make it stronger for ME!

Yet another reason why I'm so grateful to have found this community. I have never had a trainer, guide, or partner (although I hope to someday). So it's exciting and reassuring to hear another woman echo some of the things I spend my days doing. Bigguns, although you are much more advanced and have much more time invested in this than I, I really hear ya on this one girl. :)

I can't imagine it any other way. I don't want any other way!!! My gf is starting to realize that this is not a hobby or sport to me, it is my lifestyle.... When the day is done you need to ask yourself "did I do all that I can?" if you can answer yes then you will have no regret

Well said.

The whole thing came more into perspective for me after Bluegrass. I learned just how far I can push myself, how everything in the gym helps or doesn't, and how important it can be to be thinking about this all the time.

Although I can't let training "be my life", it has changed my life dramatically, and I can't imagine not training now.
