thats a good way to look at it bmom

kinda like the pregnancy part is so bad/uncomfortable that you look forward to the labor part just so that its over already.

I still remember when I was pregnant with my first I was MORTIFIED when I heard these stories. I was like, "WHAT is gonna happen now? For HOW MANY HOURS??!?! :worried: " ... "And WHO ALL is gonna be elbow deep in my hooha for like how long?!?!!?"

Then these same women would say, "Honey, when your time comes you could be buck nekkid in the middle of Times Square during rush hour and you honestly won't give a shit. The only thought on your mind will be - GET THE KNIFE AND CUT IT OUT ALREADY!!!"

I honestly don't know which story was more fantastic to me at the time... meaning which one I believed less.

And for the record if either the pregnancy or the delivery was so awful, I would not have done it four times. I would have quit after the first.

And if my Old Grump and I were not so old I would give my eyeteeth to have two more children regardless of the fact that between us we already have EIGHT.

So tell me this, remember when you first started hearing stories about how everybody, including the guy who mops the hospital floor will be elbow deep into your *cough*... while your innermost secrets are spread before God and everybody else like a buffet table? Remember that feeling of horror and shame at the very thought of having to live through that for goodness knows how many hours?

You still feelin it?
I'm still uptight about who will be in the delivery room with me. I've already told everyone that, while I love them, I don't even want them there when all my parts are covered up and I'm just having contractions, etc. I want to feel uninhibited to make noise, make faces, complain, or whatever. I know if people are there, I will feel the need to entertain them, answer their questions, etc.

I am hoping to only have a nurse and a doctor present. Everyone else can wait at home or in the waiting room...lol.

So you don't want me to bring the camcorder?

I was going to post it on youtube straight after....

b0und (awwwwww :( )

LOL...This is going to sound funny, but I feel more comfortable having absolute strangers in the room looking than my loved ones. :whatever: I wouldn't want a camcorder but someone taking pictures of the baby would be cool. I just don't want any pictures of my hoo ha (well not during delivery. some during conception would have been nice...lol).

Oh well, then you are nowhere NEAR the end. *chuckle*

Trust me when I tell you that when you get close to giving birth (and I am not talking actually going into labor) you won't give a fat rat's ass that you just took a nice warm nasty shit in front of God and everybody else. (Just another thing that nobody ever told me about what to expect when you are expecting. I HATE being lied to.)

THE ONLY THOUGHT ON YOUR MIND WILL BE IS:

GET THE BABY OUT OF ME. I DONT CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO OR WHO IS GOING TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!! JUST GET IT OUT OF ME ALREADY!!!!

:)

And the second you are all cleaned up and sewn up and the baby is handed to you, you will *magically* regain your modesty.

in three weeks since my last Dr.'s appointment. I'm not sure how the hell that happened while pregnant. :whatever: I did eat a little better and worked out more, but it does seem odd to lose weight.

He also told me that the chronic pain I'm feeling in my right ribcage is because I have a very active baby who has managed to give me bruised ribs. Delivery should be fun with bruised ribs, huh?

well i found it on my gut but your more than welcome to have it back....
