and yeah, played since frosh year of high school - although in high school I played 2-3 hrs a day. now I play 2-3 hours a month.
I've forgotten much and lost some of the speed.

my senior year I could play most vai songs, all eric johnson, and a few satriani.
and of course all zeppelin and van halen - those are pre-reqs
and jimi's stuff isn't so hard to play, it is all about getting the feel, the tempo, and the tone - that is the hard part.

little wing is a good one to learn that isn't too hard and you get his feel down (drunk pretty much)

I thought Jimi's manager made him change his name from Jimmy Hendricks to Jimi Hendrix because it was more marketable. I have been playing for 13 years now. Used to play Vai's stuff too. Now, I am more of a jazz/blues guy. For me, its all about tone/feel/melody
