This is what is called attention whoring and most women fall under the classification. A true lady does not lead a man on and works the boyfriend into the conversation as soon as possible. Within a few minutes I let women know I have a serious other.


Here are some common excuses used by women as to why they choose not to mention the boyfriend,

1. "It didn't come up." Unless you have an IQ of a foot stool you can figure a way to fit it into the conversation. Even if you have to interupt the conversation after five minutes and say ," I don't want you to get the wrong idea, I have a boyfriend."

2. "But then he wouldn't talk to me anymore." That's because he is looking for someone to hook up with or date. If you have no intention of doing either then you are being a selfish bitch by wasting his most valuable resource, time.

I attribute it to a need for validation and low self-esteem that acutely manifests itself in the female psyche. Not that men don't have the same issues but the attention whoring is a much more available means of boosting self-esteem for women then men. Guys very rarely have chicks coming over, kissing their ass, and telling them how great they are because they want to fuck them.

The worst attention whore offenders are the engaged/married women who intentionally hide their rings so you don't know they're married until you ask for their number an hour into the conversation. Then they quickly throw the ring in your face and say, "I'm flattered and you seem like a great guy but I'm married."
After being burned a couple times I actually look for the ring and if it appears they are trying to hide it I ask them right away if they're seeing someone. What's funny is when you catch them they give you this "oh shit I've been caught" smile with the "well, actually I am" body language before saying a word.
