needless to say, all of my precomp pics were on there, most i wouldn't want anyone to see, EVER! then pics leading up to ever comp, again, quite on the private side.

all of my customers house plans, financial statements, etc.

in my laptop case, i took it out recently and had it in my purse to copy some files at work, thought for sure i put it back in there to bring it back home but NOPE. searched my car up and down and no damn disk.

man this sucks

Retrace your steps relentlessly. Even in the bleakest of times, when I was sure that I would never find whatever it was I was looking for, I found it. Although sometimes I didn't. Gotta try though. Good luck.

Retrace but be SLOW and METHODICAL. I've lost TONS of things by folding or enclosing them into other things, e.g., putting a piece of paper in the wrong folder, putting a diskette into a stack of papers -- one of my personal favorites, I once lost a t.v. remote for 4 months by leaving it inside a telephone book (I had the remote in the book to mark the page, forgot it was there when I put the phone book away in a hurry).

Try to think of EVERY SINGLE THING you handled while you were handling the disk and make sure you touch all of that again, but SLOW DOWN, BREATH, RELAX and THINK. Rushing means you go through, glance at things hastily and move on without properly eliminating those places. The odd are in your favor that you put it somewhere you thought would relatively safe and got distracted.

I always have three copys of all my important documents. I have three drivers liscences and health cards. I just tell them I lost it when I didnt and they give me another and I keep it safelly some place just incase I lose one, I have another right away. You should have copied your disk and put it away. It takes a few minutes tio burn a disk.
