man, what a bad fucking day. i was making food in the kitchen and was kinda making a mess. anyhow, when i was pulling stuff out of the cabinets, i sorta forgot to put everything away. the one item i forgot to stick back in the cabinets, was a the blade from my mom's brand new food processor.

so, here i am, walking around in the kitchen, and all of the sudden HOLY SHIT! i fucking fall down in agonizing pain, because i sliced my sock clean open and my foot as well. there was so much blood, that when my mom came in, she almost fainted....my dad had to hold her up. the tile floors were COVERED in blood.

i got a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and started dumping it on my foot, wrapped it up, and drove to my doctor's (who is also our neighbor) office, but being in shock like i was, he wasnt at his office because of the holiday. so i came back here, woke him up, and went to his house to see what the deal is.

he said i was pushing it for needing stitches, but he said if i wrapped it up well, used anti-biotics, and kept it clean, it would be fine. but he made me wiggle my toes and stick them with a pin to make sure i had feeling in them.

this is just great considering i have to drive 10 hours on friday.

Sorry to hear that bro.:(

On the bright side, losing lots of blood from cuts is about the best injury one can get. You will be fine in a couple days.

Yes, sorry to hear that. That's something that young people or very old people usually do. Once you've hurt yourself so many times, you tend to be very careful and more aware of your surroundings... I used to bump my fuckin head all the time. One day, I guess I got tired of doing it and haven't done it in eons.

On a smaller scale, same ting happened to me a few weeks ago.

I work at a restaurant and was slicing something with a larger knife then what was needed for the job (compensating for other areas). Anyway, it slipped and cut my finger pretty deep. It didn't hurt at all, and wasn't that big, but it bled for at least 15 minutes, and that was with constant pressure. Immediately I started sweating and had to sit down and drink something or I was going to pass out. It's weird how the body freaks out when you lose blood. Only other time I almost passed out was when I had my finger popped back in after I dislocated it. My cut has since then healed in the shape of the incision.

Good luck healing, and keep using the anti-bacterial stuff because getting it infected is a lot more likely when it is deep.

Be thankful you didn't get hurt worse bro. I stepped on the edge of a broken mirror once and had to have 135 stitches in my heel 3 layers deep, almost severed my achellies. Went to HS graduation limping like a mofo 1 week later and my dress shoes tore 6 of the stitches open.

yeah, the blade was one of those curved ones that look like part of a ninja star. the thing was in it's side, and when i stepped on it at that angle, it just sliced my foot to shit. it is a BITCH walking anywhere.

i have been washing my foot with hydrogen peroxide, then covering it with liquid clindamycin (a strong anti-biotic). i then put 4 bandaids on it, wrap it with gause, wrapt it with coban, and then tape it up with surgical tape. i did all of that and had two socks on, and the fucking thing was still bleeding through when i was at my neighbor's for christmas dinner.

ripping out stitches is a whore man. i ripped out a few stitches on my back in BJJ months ago, and my scar is all fucked up and purple looking still.

Damn poink, hope you get a quick recovery. I remember a couple years ago in costa rica when I was progressively making my way down a large rock bed and landed on a wooden board, that just so happed to have one huge rusty nail that made my foot into a shishkabob like two hours away from civilization. Healed very quick though and I was 100% within the week, just make sure you don't over do the antibiotics and peroxide as you could actually prolong the healing quite a bit. Lots of info on the internet regarding puncture wounds and home treatment, if you havn't already looked into it.
