Best o' Luck to you.

I personally am impressed quite a bit by determined single mommies. In fact,...I married one. As long as you have a real plan in place for child care, ect. you have a much better chance than if you walk in there just looking good.
Thanks, BNG. ;)

Going back to work a WEEK after giving birth? Aye Chihuahua. More power to you, but there is no way in HELL I could have gone back to working full time a WEEK after birthing a baby.

Yeah, maybe unrealistic as hell. I just don't want to lose the job. Maybe I should say that I need 2 weeks. I think that I stay in the hospital for 2 days alone. My interview is on Thursday night. I have to find something to wear. That is going to be a challenge.

The high pressure might induce labor!
GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a job interview with a boutique firm that does high profile criminal defense and asylum cases. Yes, this lawyer called me on Sunday at 9 p.m. to talk...lol. You think it will be high pressure?

He said that I can expect to be doing murder cases, supreme court cases, LOTS of appelate work right away.

He LOVED my resume and my interview over the phone.

Only one catch. He said he needed someone ASAP because his right hand associate attorney is going to have a baby soon, and his other male attorney is intimidated by the high pressure death penalty cases and such. I didn't throw in "hey, I'm going to be giving birth soon too." I'm going to go to the interview and just try to convince him that it will be okay and I won't take much time off. I didn't want to ruin my shot at the interview.

Anyway, WOO HOO! I'm not going to let this one slip out of my grips. I've never done a job interview that I didn't land the job.

No doctor would release someone to return to work a week after childbirth. Dont you think once they realize you are giving birth, they will ask for a release from your physician?
