They aren't all like that, I have a male cat, and he always greets me at the door when I come in or leave, he follows me all around the house, he's always got to be in the same room as me. If I'm in the bathroom he'll wait outside the door for me. Harvey loves attention

Strange whiskers, kittens conversate, so quick to hiss at us.....

I like my cats just fine. I never thought I would ever get a housecat, but 6 years ago my ex-wife brought them home and now I can't imagine the house without them. Plus the dog kind of adopted them.

My experience has been the opposite. Male cats tend to be more friendly and gregarious than females, who are more reserved and protective.
