my 9 yr old son had a tooth pulled last week. All they used was one shot of novacaine and they yankes it ou (molar) and sent him on his way. I gave him some advil and he was good to go no problems.

oh, in that case, I had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth (one was also abscessed) removed at one time. I didnt use any narcotic pain relievers either. Only advil.

I went to the dental emergency room last friday. The receptionist said how can I help you and I replied I need a goddamn tooth pulled right now. 15 minutes later I was in the chair in an open clinic(all the rooms are open so you can hold hands and scream together), I didn't get gas I got 3 shots. The bastard said it should come right out, he worked up to the biggest pair of pliers available and did everything but put his foot on my chest. I complained I needed vicodin because nothing else worked so he wrote me a script for 20 pills. LOL, I only took a couple I see no use wasting them on a sore tooth.

I broke all the rules. I just used the other side of my mouth. 1 week out and no problems. Apparently dry socket really sux, I hope im in the clear.
