Not trying to start anything, was just a little confused about the topic verses the content in it and how they were connected.

The funny thing about the whole "powerlifters are fat" thing is that they are taken an extreme example like Gary Franks and Anthony Clark and saying they are the norm. When the truth of the matter is that for every fat ass powerlifter you will find someone in the 165's 181's or 198's that are ripped to the bone...plus being strong.

It's almost like saying that ALL football players are fat. Truth is most Linemen are fat asses...but for every one of them there is a wideout or running back that is ripped to shreads.

Do not use and extreme example to define the norm

Powerlifters in my humble opinion are not fat. Granted to do not have the low bf% some body builders have, however not fat by definition, their muscle mass to fat ratio is way too high.

And stupid???! The majority of powerlifters I have encountered have much more knowledge on lifting, nutrition, kinesiology, etc then the body builders I've met. The only differencs lies in the goals. Powerlifters want the ultimate strength, body builders want the "perfect" physic.

You can't tell how strong a man is by looking at the front of him. Thick pecs and big bis do not make you strong. If you want to know how strong a man is wait till he turns around. A man with thick errectors, huge hammies and gluts, and a thick back...that's gonna be one strong sum bitch

Being a lifter doesn't mean that you have to be stupid...I mean I know "some stuff"...LOL
