when people are nice to me.

At the gym today there was a bench I wanted but I wasn't sure if someone was using it cause some lazy slob left DB's all around it.

So I asked this regular that I never said a word to in my life but seen him almost every day for 2 years if he knew is someone was using it.

He was like no I don't think so do you want to.

I said yes.

He saw me put my water bottle and stuff down next to the smith. Anyways he picked it up and moved it for me. I must have said thank you 5 times.

I know he has seen me move stuff like that befoe so he knows I am capable just being a nice guy I guess.

Anyways I am goddam nerd ...

If he was just trying to bang me think he would have said something to me long ago?

I get shy awkard cause I pretty much don't speak at the gym unless to ask someone if they are using this or that. I almost always have my headphones in so no one can speak to me. I guess it just throws me off my game.

Never been to Alberta trying to plan a work trip in July go to Edmonton for a day or two for meetings then driver to Calgary for meetings or some kind of customer event at the Stampede.

I know what it is cause I have to turn of my bitch face for a second and say thank you makes me feel like weirdo cause I am pretty much a straight up bitch at the gym it's clearly painful for me to be nice there. LOL
 
stampede is alright i guess. apparently was rated in top 10 parties in the world to attend. im not a city person. i was born and raised in the mountains..although i live in a very touristy place so it is still busy for a smaller place. you cant go to Calgary without traveling to Banff/Canmore!

I think I'd be hard pressed to find a customer in Baniff. I have a picture of Baniff hanging in my place actually my brother and his best friend at Lake Louise looks beautiful.
 
everyone is a nerd somehow. at work we have a paintball field. some of the guys here should be snipers. to me that is still geeking out, just something less electronic i suppose than the general sense of the word... plus who in their right mind doesnt love a sexy geek

i do nice stuff for people all the time and have no inclination toward teh seggz...i'm not a democrat, but i'm a big fan of citizenship and being a gentleman.
 
Im the same way,last week I was doing seated rows and the gym only has two but some jersey shore rejects were using the other one, so this super cute chick asked me if she could work in. I was a bumbling idiot. and then I realized that is why I havent gotten any ass in over a year.

Love canmore it's my fav place to go hiking and camp. Living In Edmonton makes it easy to travel on days off work for a little play time in the mountains. Canmore > Banff in my opinion !

I grew up near the area so Banff was good when I was 18 hittin the clubs 7 nights a week. Canmore is def better for living. peaceful and quiet. I lived on jasper ave in Edmonton for a year. Didn't like it to much. When you are used to hiking, biking, rock climbing, camping and just generally having mountains to explore the city was quite the culture shock. Liked the shopping and eating out tho. Way more variety!

I met a trainer from a gym I play bball at downtown. Met her after work last night then she came over and we smanged. She weighs 102 pounds so skinny and fragile. Def not my type. I like em thicker

I have a very unfriendly aura about me I suppose.

I was in Starbucks the other day, about the 3rd person back in line. The dude taking orders was very flamboyantly gay. Like he turned gay from watching Dharma and Greg in the 90's. He was chatting it up with everyone in line in front of me. Being real friendly with everyone.

Once it get to the register, his smiled dropped of his face and he got dead serious with, "yeah, can I help you?".

My wife loves to tell stories about how I make friends where ever we go. Twice in the same week I took her to doctors appointments and she came out of the exam to find I had engaged the entire waiting room in a group discussion.

I find that most people are uncorfatble with strangers. The minute you say, "hi" with a genuine smile, they are at ease. Very rarely will someone stay offstandish after I break the ice.

I'm the exact same way. Everybody opens up to me, I don't know why.

A month or so ago, we had a visitor at the museum with a problem and I got called down to deal with her because guests never act angry toward me. Long story short, she left happy and I came back and told my coworkers her life story and they were all kind of just like "wtf, she told you all that in 5 minutes?"

one time at this gym the "prima donna" prize gal at the gym
always wears headphones, never makes eye contact
so over by one of those weight trees we arrive at the same time
and I just need another 10 plate to match up
and she pulls her ear phones off and excuses herself or something
"oh am I in your way?"
me "no"
and I walk off with my ten pound plate
I knew I blew it
but it felt like the right thing to do

never in 30 plus years of being an adult male

what I find sad is Tiger Wood's scorned wife who got the house in the settlement and another 100 million
had this perfectly good 28 million or so mansion totally demolished with plans to rebuild a new house

I didn't want to be the usual bitch that I am at the gym as that was a nice gentleman like thing to do. I almost never ask for help at the gym even if I need it. I really don't think he was hitting on me. I spoke more to the regulars at my old gym and they were all mostly helpful like that as well. I think it is more of a comradery thing as they see you every day busting your ass and respect that.

Of coure all of the internet stallions on elite would have been hitting it ummm yeah right :rolleyes:

True story: In CR I was once in the bus going to work and this dude gets on the bus, tall muscular dude, hot as hell, he got off the bus in front of the local high school and that's where I realized he was wearing a senior high school shirt :worried: ffffffffuck I felt so bad all morning :(

happens to me all the time!

few months ago i was at west edmonton mall, for my routine west-ed wednesday. (break into the water park and drink a couple flats of beer) as the beer ran out i stumbled around the mall, peed on the mini putt course from one of the shopping levels above. went into hooters and continued to drink. there is a single glass window seperating me from a table full of girls. so, in a drunken haze i sauntered to the place on the other side of the glass, pulled up a chair and introduced myself. well this cock eyed little bitch snarls at me, and asks me if i feel bad for hitting on a table of 16 year olds? i said 'You lie!! your at a bar!' and she replies 'im drinking ice tea, and its my 16th birthday' i grabbed her glass and took a sip, and it turns out... it was only ice tea. a moment of clarity passed by and i looked around... i was sitting at a table full of 16 year old girls, so i did the only thing i could possibly think of to save face... i hit on the one girls mother who accompanied them. after that i shamefully walked back to my seat at hooters where a single pain of glass and approximately 3 feet seperated me and them. i drank till i forgot all about them and hit on someone else.

sidenote: the hostess at hooters was 17, as were the 2 girls with fake ids sitting at the table next to me. the fact that they were with 2 guys probably should have been the first thing that prevented me from hitting on them in that instance.

I had a girl I figured was 19 or 20 stare at me at the gym the whole time I was there, she even waved goodbye when I left. She was hot as hell, stacked and with a model type haircut; all one length right at the jawline.

Couple of days later I'm snowblowing the driveway and a station wagon pulls up and a woman asks if I know if school was cancelled for the day. My stacked model was sitting in the back seat.

Turns out she was 16. I didn't feel bad, just a little freaked out.

I was more social at my old gym but I was there a good 4ish years this one is now close to two years. There isn't really anyone I know that competes there. Even when I do know people at the gym I really only like to talk when I am doing cardio. In between sets of lifting I am trying to keep my focus.
