If you could prove that drug prohibition makes us all safer and is worth every penny, maybe more people would agree with the current drug laws.
The fact is that nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the gov. is alloted the power to tax me and use those funds to unlawfully search and seize property when searching for something that is the botanical equivalent of vodka (not to mention the 15 year prison terms given to 19 year olds with possession of one pound of weed).
The worst part about drug prohibition is that, like alcohol prohibition, it creates a large power struggle for control of a huge black market resulting in organized crime and extremely violent gangs.
since when do you go to prison for selling bongs anyways? a lot fo stores carry them, matter a fact my buddy bought when in lake of the ozarks, walked out of the store with it in his hand with the recipe while a cop just looked and smiled as we walked away.
It can only be considered paraphanelia if it has been used. then there IS a prescence of the grug. DOES this fuck the USA dude even know what he is talking about?
Yep.....so true.....as for example, there are many tobacco shops that sell both pipes and bongs......
In an unrelated story.......people in Missouri now have the right to carry concealed weapons......I however will remained unarmed as guns are for underdeveloped, bruised ego pussies....(at least those that want to carry them around)......but man do I ever feel better that all these wackos are packing heat now
But speeding laws have objective benefits, whereas drug laws are overwhelmingly detrimental, as proven once with Prohibition. The complete prohibition and criminalization of drugs increases public spending on useless incarcerations, removing productive individuals from society and their families, threatens the health of the user, by compromising the purity of the products, and expands the power of the government, through legislation that grants powers of search and seizure not granted by the Constitution.
