My crazy ass just submitted my application to the army, now its a waiting game until I hear back from them,take work where I can,temp agency if I have to,whatever.

I decided nothing will make me happier or more proud then to earn my Red beret, I want infantry PPCLI 3rd and I wanna be a para boy.

Is it like the reserves here in the States? Or is a full-time deal? How many years you have to serve?

I love my new job,however work isnt steady im a part time employee with no benifits and cost of living on the road is higher then I like.

oh and its full time,3 yr contract,if I get the regiment and battalion I want they see the most action out of the canadian arsenal

if i get the regiment and battalion I want ill be in edmonton so far from home,only family out there is my moms sister,but Im ok being away,i get 20 days leave a yr so ill live, mom dont know i made it final,dad thinks its a stupid idea as he thinks I dont really wanna do it,but Im gonna follow in my uncles footsteps and be a paratrooper.

as for our military,we have an army,navy and airforce, the regiment and battalion I want is special operations capable,but we only have one official spec ops force which is jtf2

i live about an hour away from toronto right now,I was going to be a cop in edmonton before but because I was an idiot and did drugs I got deffered for 3 yrs,and then just decided against being a cop. but as fate may have it I could end up there anyways,which will be awesome,I hear alberta is a great place to live
