suicide is pretty rare as far as i know, about 30k a year. It sounds like alot but most are kids and the elderly, and this is in a population of 300 million.

the ambulance company i'm working for part time just signed a coroners contract. whenever someone in the county dies we have to go bag them and transport to the coroner, or hospital morge to the coroner

its been about 2 weeks so far, and i say theres been 10 suicides easily

I suspect the actual # may be underreported. A lot of suicides are ruled as natural deaths, especially among the elderly. I also think this is a statistic that the govt. might lie about. According to polls that I've read, 90% of people are happy, and I just don't believe that. Also 90% of people believe in God. I highly doubt this figure.
