I am such a loser... diet-wise

Okie, so about a month ago I started posting on here, and I asked on the women's board for a cutting diet. I got lots of good advice. But d'ya think this loser here could stick to it????? oh, no.

Why, for goodness sake why, the instant I get out of my usual routine I find myself reaching for the cookies and the non-diet coke???? When I KNOW they are bad for me? If I get my meals every 2-3 hours there isn't a problem. It's days like today, when I was so tired I left work early (I can do this, I set my own hours) to go home and sleep and woke up with insane cookie-cravings???

It's like I don't WANT to be cut. And those nice large thigh muscles are just asking to be unwrapped... (Despite not that much lifting several years of taekwondo and sparring has given substantial by most standards athough not by this board's hams and quads).

I was thinking of carrying healthy food round with me everywhere I go, like wholewheat bread and tuna or something, so when fall out of my routine I have that to eat and have less of a cookie craving. Any thoughts folks?
 
how long were you on your cutting diet before? sometimes it's necessary to have a cheat meal or cheat day if you've been low carbing for a while.

its a mind thing. Cravings are bullshit. Ive been dieting for roughly 5 years now, i and have yet to have a craving or anything. Keep your focus on your goal, alow yourself a threat now and then, and have fun with it. The minute it becomes a chore instead of fun, then you need a vacation. It is still fun for me.
 
Stop drinking diet sodas and soda in general that shit is evil.

Got any Oreos? I'm hungry.

Carry a bag of celery and carrots with you.

I need a ho ho.
 
I bought a bunch of little Rubbermaid entree containers w/ lids. I do my cooking the night before or that morning and pack each little meal seperately. Also, I keep a few cans of tuna and some packets of instant oatmeal in my breakroom at work for days when I wasn't able to pack something.

When I bounce on weekends, I stop by the store and buy some protein bars and beef jerky to get me through the night.
 
Thanks for all your kind words folks. I'm taking that tip about preparing all meals beforehand - I've got enough healthy protein-heavy food with me today now to make sure I don't feel tempted by the soda display in the grocery store.

And no, no piccies until I get more ripped! I'll take some "before" ones this weekend and hang on to them until I have decent "after" ones as well. Need to get the bf% down a bit... and bigger abs!

Honestly, it's all about willpower...that post Casavant made is actually very useful...describes what I do very well...don't be hard on yourself, but don't be too easy either...and don't accept "good enough" when it comes to your goals...go all the way :)

Yeah, they really struck a cord with me. I even printed off a couple of copies of the first one for some gym buddies of mine.
 
this works for me, no shit...

i bought a cap m quik and over 2000
size00 caps...

go to walmart or similar hee-haw
type retailer...

buy the psyllium husk powder,the cheap
no flavor shit with no kind of sugar. Read the
label as some of that stuff has dextrose or
mannitol or other sneaky sugars in it...

the next time you are home watching tv
cap that shit up...the whole bottle...

carry a bottle of caps around and suck
down about 4 with a healthy amount of water
when cravings hit...

this works for me...
