I ride a bike, but not lately because of tickets I have been getting on it. If I ride it, not only do I have to put gas in it, I have to put more in it to go to the police station to pay my fines.

I am going to walk if the price goes up again.

you're looking at $2.15 or so for 92. And where are you getting 93 octane HAppy Scrappy?

I get it in cambridge and in waltham.
I think down the street here it is at $1.989 a gallong for the 93, and closer to my house it is a little cheaper.

HappyScrappy,

15 gallon tank? Are you driving a go-cart? I am!!:D

hmm - if it is a go cart, then it is an expnsive one.
it holds 15 gallons, but I usually fill up when it hits 13-14 gallons usage. it is turbo and fuel injection, and neither of those are too happy when you run out of gas.

in the city I get about 20-23mpg and on road trips when I can drive 80 or so, then I get over 30mpg.

the new engines they are making are variable compression and they are supposedly supposed to get far better gas milage and more power.... can't wait - still at least 2 years out before production though... and it is one more part to reak (the head pivots to create different variable lengths inside)

I miss the summer of 2 years ago when it got down to $.75! Those were the good ol' days (when everyone could AFFORD to fill an Excursion) :D

I remember one year for spring break on the way through atlanta gas was $.75 - that was rare at the time, but I think their taxes are less there or some shit.
that must have been either 96 or 97

I do not know what type of vehivcles you all drive but MANY of todays vehicles are able to take the middle grade gas and not the 93 octane. You will have to check with your dealer to make sure but MOST of you may be paying for 93 octane and only need 89 , but not the 87. CHECK IT OUT AND SEE BECAUSE WHY WASTE YOUR $$$$$$$ IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TO??????

my car says on the gas cap and in the manual, and they reminded me at the dealer and all the boards say - 93 or higher.
something about the turbo on it or some shit.

whatever. its fast and drives smooth, that's all I care about. money is no object.
hee hee.

we are lucky - in Bermuda gas is like over $3 a gallon.
