Marshal Mathers, or "Slim Shady" is in court again. But this time I feel badly for him.

His ex wife, Kimberly Mathers, is suing for more child support dollars. Yet Marshall is already payoing her $142,000 per year. And, get this, they have JOINT custody.

Since they have joint custody, he sees his daughter quite a bit, and naturally spends money on her as well.

No coincidence: Kim Mathers is unemployed. She fucking has no job, yet wants more than $142K per year.
And she contributed nothing substantial to the couple's net wealth.

Gotta love marriage.

Absolutely agree with you MattTheSkywalker.......Women and men both are wise to get pre-nuptial agreements. Someone's love today could be someone's court complaint tomorrow....Without a pre-nup, you are opening yourself up to unlimited future payments......

Pre-nuptial agreements also promote the individual prospective-----self-reliance.

Also, YES always get the pre-nup and it's not always about money and the negative aspect that people feel about it. It can make a potentially ruthless and long divorce process much quicker and far less painless.

My parents are finishing up the third year of their divorce and there has been little or no movement in over a year.

NOW I THINK HE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF HER BUT DAMN...........SHE WENT TO COURT AND THE JUDGE MADE HIM REINSTATE HER CREDIT CARDS, PAY HER BOOKOO MONEY, AND PROVIDE A CAR AND DRIVER FOR HER. NOT TO MENTION SHE WAS IN ONE OF THE HOUSES. I THINK SHE IS A MONEY HUNGRY BITCH BUT I DO THINK THEY ARE IN LOVE. ALBEIT AN UNHEALTHY LOVE BUT STILL.........
 
I don't know ANYTHING about the particular people whom this post about.

All I want to say is that in divorces that a bitter and that drag on for some time, it is NOT ABOUT THE MONEY.....and where children are involved, it seems that unless one parent pretty much lays down and lets the other just kind of "do what they have to do to make themselves feel better" the children suffer in ways that the parent who is so FUCKING self-absorbed with how hurt THEY ARE, just can not concieve.

I have come to believe that divorce is difficult but it does not HAVE to be as traumatic as many make it. If the two parents can behave like the grown-ups that they are SUPPOSED TO BE, they should be able to put their own personal feelings aside and DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THE CHILDREN.

Perhaps she feels angry that he asked for a divorce in the first place and she sees the asking for more support as a way of "holding on". Perhaps she supported him before he became anybody and when he became famous she kicked him to the curb. Perhaps he woke up one day and realized that she was a crazy bitch and he needed to get away from her before he felt the need to take his own life.

Neither you nor I will ever know. Hell, even the people going through it sometimes figure the shit out. DENIAL is indeed blinding.

I don't know where I am going with all of this. I guess I just wanted to let people know that it isn't about the money - it almost never is.

at first glance yesterday in the article in the local paper i agreed completely matt... mainly because of her lack of a job and no doubt her lack of looking too...

but...

he is expected to make over 2.7 million this year...
she is the source of a lot of his lyrics too.
most child support cases get far more of a percentage than she is going to get.... so lets be fair and charge his ass some money too.

plus- the guy has gotten off on some other shit with probation, what does that tell him? he is above things...

he is NOT above paying his fair share to the child...

one more thing.. he wants to pay less than the 147k, she wants more... so its working both ways, he IS IN FACT trying to fuck her over a bit too.
 
A pre-nup will not affect child support...

to the best of my recollection, any attempt to prospectively determine child support (eg, before the child is born) will be struck down

a pre-nup addresses the parents' division of assets only...child support is determined by the parents' respective incomes and the needs of the child...

I hate him, but I hate the fact that the courts cater to women during a divorce. It is total bullshit that he has to pay her a dime. He should match what she contributes, which at this point is zero. Most child support a woman recieves is spent on herself. my dad had to pay my mom money and she would get pissed when i needed new shoes, she wanted to spend the money that was supposed to be for the children on going to the bar and hanging out with her friends. Fuck his ex-wife, he should put a hit out on her.

Plus as an entertainer he faces the "out of state performance" tax. When he performs in say California, he is subject to taxes there.
