history....
5 years ago i did 1 pro hormone, cycle 11 oxo... pct went great... got a panel done... free test was at 790ish 6 months after cycle

recently I've felt like shit..low libido, tired, staying sore to long, little fat gain... I go get a panel... and here are some numbers

total test... 535
free test... 10.8
shbg... 31.8
free t3... 2.8
free t4... 1.35
lh... 2.9
fsh... 2.8
estradiol... 15.2
dhea.... 215

here is the question... I'm 30 years old..I'm not sure those numbers are to far away from normal...the doc says I should go on
200 mg test cyp/wk
20 iu hcg day
.5 adex twice a week
40/20 thyroid t4/t3
50mg dhea
100mg progesterone (don't know why)

I'm wondering if I should go on this protocol... and if do what kind of gains should I see if any?

Who the hell is your doctor and where is he located??? Never heard of a doc recommending all of that with test levels in the 500's...that is crazy!!!

its just a hole in the wall youth clinic ... I've been reading on these boards that my test is a little on the high side for hrt... but considering its almost 300 down since the last time he tested me...

That doctor ahould have his license revoked.
Your test level is fine, but your free test looks low. Try boosting it naturally with supplements that contain avenacosides like Unleashed, or stinging nettle, also called Urtica dioica, with the active ingredient divanilliltetrahydrofuran, which will bind to SHBG and raise free test. Lots of the test boosters on the market these days work pretty well.

I'm thinking of maybe doing 50mg a week.. and saving the rest for an end of the year blast at 400 for 12 weeks

If you do that you could potentially shut yourself down permanently for no reason. Your natural test is not that low that you should consider trt. Run some proper cycles with pct if you want but hold off on trt as long as you can.

Wow, that is one crazy doc! No need for test in my eyes. What is your objective besides feeling better? Are you an athlete, lifter, etc.? What are you doing that has you thinking you are staying sore too long? I would look into SARMS, Peptides, etc. before possibly shutting down your test. Also, a natural test booster like the others have said.

well my goal is to begin running one good cycle a year and to stay off the rest of the time. if I run a small amount of test around the time i havr to give blood work I can save the rest for a blast, and at the same time still have semi elevated blood test so I can continue to get test cyp from my hrt clinic. this is my only source... as I don't know any other way to get test cyp.... I like to lift, but more importantly I'm an iron worker and like to keep some size on me. currently 217 at 6'0 15% bf... I do a push pull routine. 405 dead.. 315 bench, 335 squat.. don't want to get stronger as much as I want to try and make 245lbs

Hi

I can see why your doctor wants to start HRT, especially so if you're under 30 years of age. Your total T levels are within mid-normal range but the point is it's sitting there doing nothing. Your Free T, or Bioavailable Teststerone is what your body is using at any one time. Imagine your Free T is an alcoholic, and your Total T is the local off-license. Now imagine you've got half a glass left in your hand and you've got cash to buy the two bottles of wine you need to abait alcohol withdrawal. You go to the shop and the door is locked. You have the money and can see the booze on the shelf but you cannot get to it. That's exactly what your Total T is, a storeage type reservoir. Your Free T is what you actually have to use and this influences how you feel.

Your doctor, though, should at least run another set of blood tests to compare. If the next one comes back lower or the same and Total T level are the same or lower then, if you feel low symptomatically, your doctor should discuss therapy with you. However, the other guys are right that maybe you ought to boost your levels naturally first. Your doctor can help do this too. Some endochrinologists who specialise in the andrology field actually (especially where the patient intends to father a child) employ PCT type treatments HCG, Clomid, etc to encourage the body to produce and process higher levels of testosterone, thereby increasing fertility. This is a more recent development in the treatment of Secondary Hypogonadism also and has been yielding positive results.
