Huge Problem - Need Advice Asap!!!

I really need some good advice on this one bros. I was popped over 3 months ago and once I invoked my miranda rights havent heard from anyone and have spoken with my attorney so I'm prepared for whatever they want to throw at me.

This morning, my girl goes in to change her address for her supervised probation for a marijuana posession charge. I know thats not good, but its beside the point.

She gets there and the postal inspector who in involved with my case is there with her prob officer and start telling her all kinds of bullshit like if she doesnt give up info on me she will go to jail, how I dont really love her, she would be convicted of conspiracy, and basically scared the living shit out of her as you can imagine. She doesnt know how the system works so she was hysterical this morning before I talked to her and calmed her down

Now they gave her 2 weeks to go talk to the postal inspector or else she would go to prison for 2 years. She knows not to say a word but is still scared as hell.

I was planning just having my attorney represent her and paying for it. She cannot go down there alone or else she is playing their game.

What is the best way to go about dealing with this.

The most amazing she said to me was that she wasnt going to jail because she would kill herself if she had too and there was no way she would ever roll on me. That she would kill herself before rolling on me. That just blew my mind.

Marijuna.... Steroids..... Probation.... Jail!! Man your a winner. As long as people like you are around, i an always be assured job security :-D. Now, I am not a rocket scientist here, but you should probably contact a lawyer if you dont have one. The police in this case are allowed to lie and threaten to get the truth, however, there are limits on them as well. I suggest you contact a lawyer that knows all the elments of the case, instead of this short snippet.

Bro, believe me I've got a great attorney. She is freaking out because she does not because she has nothing to do with my situtation. I'm going to see my attorney first thing in the morning. I just wanted so quick advice to help calm her down.

And about the marijuana and probation comment, her dad died 10 months ago and she it fucked up her life bad. She has got it back together now, but she still has to deal with her actions. But she should not have to deal with mine.

You've already got someone you consider a great lawyer. Then take his advice. ReallyDumb is right: we don't know all the facts. [Just be prepared that your lawyer may well (should) express a conflict of interest issue as to undertaking to represent your girlfriend.]

Thanks for the relpies. I'm not so concerned about her gettting an attorney immediately. You are right, that would be a conflict of interest. I just want to know what she should do and how she should handle that situtation if it arises again.

Should she say she doesnt want to talk to them until she sees an attorney? - always the best idea even though she doesnt need one.

Or should she say she doesnt want to talk to them so either arrest her and charge her with something or leave her alone?

She is just scared as hell because she doesnt know how to react to that kind of confrontation. Its not really about an attorney at the moment. If, god forbid she was arrested, she knows the rules and knows exactly what to do, thanks to RC and Legal Muscle:) Its the gray are that she is unsure of.

Thanks again for the advice, bro.

No one should should ever agree to speak to a cop without a attorney present. Tell her to not let the cops intimidate her, have her carry a note pad with her to record what the cops are saying to her. Cops do not like this.:)
