Im close to finishing my first HST cycle, and loved it...
I would like to do a pure strength routine next, but I was thinking, would it be beneficial to me as far as hypertrophy and strength gains to maybe do a 7th and 8th week of HST with 3 rep sets, right after the 5's.
I don't know how significant strength gains would be because of the very low volume, but the frequency might help with some of this... i could also see putting on a few pounds more with not as many calories being burned like the previous weeks...
Anyone think this might be beneficial?
