HRT/TRT Sourcing Information

Hey Guys -

Long time since I've posted on here... Guess life got in the way for awhile...

Anyway, I am very aware of the board TOS in terms of AAS, but does that apply to HRT/TRT clinics as well? I have been contemplating discussing this topic with my PCP or even making an appointment with an endo, but was interested in feedback from the board first. Seeing that I'm "only" 34 but do feel I have some legitimate symptoms of low T (which obviously have to be verified through blood testing), I have a feeling my primary care physician will laugh in my face. He does not lift, doesn't seem to have much understanding of it, and will most likely see my visit as an attempt at scoring prescribed AAS for more sinister reasons.

If sourcing of HRT/TRT clinics is NOT a violation of EF TOS, any suggestions, company links, etc. would be much appreciated.

What you want is a Men's health or vitality clinic in your area. Most are in the business of prescribing test so 'within range' but on the lower end may still be enough reason to get you on legit trt. Google is your friend on this one. I would never ever ever ever ever let a primary care physician put me on TRT.

Thanks Bro, I appreciate the quick response. Google searches didn't seem to return much in the way of results in my area, but I do travel the entire east coast for work which makes location less important.

I would much rather get in with a tried and true clinic that board members have had positive experiences with than just take my chances and visit 3 clinics in 4 weeks.

I would see if you can get some blood work done first. TRT clinics are expensive unless you have insurance and sometime they will not cover it because of the high price. Talk to your primary, but not till you have done your homework.You need to be able to talk to him intelligenty about it. If you can get him to help you with it that would be the best thing. If he refers you to an endocrinologist, try to get a male one they seem to have a better understanding and maybe a little sympathy lol. If you can get it done that way you will save a ton of money. I have read where guys pay $800 a month to clinics to give them the shots. I pay $6.00 for 10 ml of test and $4.00 for 30 a-dex with a scrip and insurance. I have to pay retail for HCG it is not covered.

I think this will be my basic strategy. I think going with your primary care doc is ok if you are smart enough to take some ownership in your own treatment and your doc is willing to listen to your plan and go along with it, do the labs at a frequency you want etc.

I would really like to have my own blood testing done prior to scheduling an appointment with my primary care physician. This way I can scrap my plan to go the HRT direction if for some reason my test levels come back well within range.

Does anyone know of any online labs that can coordinate the necessary tests at a local facility?

I get a script for CYP from my primary doc and source my adex and hcg from the interweb. I would love to find a doc that would give scripts for the latter two but I don't see it happening without a clinic at moronic prices. In the end, it's just cheaper and easier to get it myself.

Currently off the TEST trying to get the baby implanted in my spouse.

Heading in for a doctor's appointment this morning, so I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes.

My doc is a very young guy, so I'm curious as to his response since he most likely has no personal experience with symptoms of Low T.
