HRT/TRT Sourcing Information

Cycling only Test 14 weeks. Everything else daily except unleash combo and power chews. My HRT changed my life to awesome. Every physician has their own practice. Find one that works for you. Read this Elite fitness forum and ask your Doc for his advice. Talk to others to see what works for them and modify it for you. It's your body. not everyone is the same.

Thus forum has a lot of smart guys who share their ideas.

I've never heard of HRT cycling. Is that a medically accepted practice? What is theory of doing that compared to just staying on like typical HRT?

Are you trying to keep your body from shutting down? Don't you have physical and emotional ups and downs from starting and stopping?
Do you have labs that show how much your test level drops when you are off?

Its an interesting idea. I'd like to hear more about it.

You might want to start a new thread on HRT cycling and get others to share more details.

My HRT is very similar to many other male medical clinics, vitality, anti-aging clinic all over the country. I did my home work and inquired to over twenty of them so they all follow a similar practice of HRT.

And yes I do blood work every 2-3 months and have a folder to prove it. My DOC is very strict on blood work follow up.

OK guys, I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and had blood drawn on Saturday.

My doc certainly wasn't opposed to the idea (surprisingly) of hormone replacement, but also said that oftentimes symptoms of Low T turn out to be thyroid related issues. That being said, he ordered tests for test and free test levels, thyroid and blood glucose.

I did some research on symptoms of over/under active thyroid and was surprised to see that change in body composition, reduced energy levels, lack of mental clarity, etc. are all in fact related to thyroid. Maybe this is obvious to others, but I've never even thought to question thyroid function. The other interesting thing is that I've recently had a lot of wrist pain which I thought was the beginning of carpal tunnel, and it might be, but that is also a symptom of hypothyroidism.

Anyway, I get results tomorrow... Just thought I'd share my findings...

Guys if your planning on having kids don't take any test cream it will make you sterile. It will go away after you stop using it.

I my test came back at 275 which is obviously very low. I am 30yrs old 210 lbs 5'10. I don't know why its so low but we are trying to have kids and I declined the Androgel cream my doc prescribed. After reading up on it, I found out that it affects reproduction. So be careful and do your own research.

In my case, I have to try to boost test levels naturally.

So no trt/hrt for you then?

Test levels came back low in all three categories they test: total test, free test and ???

Anyway, I have an appointment with the urologist on Monday to discuss treatment options. They did not tell me my levels, but I will ask at the doc.

Obviously I will push for injections, and I'd appreciate any good arguments anyone has developed for why they should be treated with injections in lieu of creams.

Thanks for everyone's input!

If you want injections just tell the doc you know people who have tried both and they all say they prefer injections. People forget that the doc is supposed to be working for you.
Personnally I'd try cream first. It sounds preferable, as long as it worked.

If you don't want to use the cream, tell him/her that you are worried about transferance of the testosterone to your wife/girlfriend/significant other/children, etc through contact. Maybe tell them you are planning to go on a vacation where you won't be wearing a shirt most of the day and you have young children that are going to want to rough house/play and you don't want to have to worry.
