I was wondering the same exact thing.
remember, a healthy 24 yr old male produces 600 million viable sperm per ejaculation.. anything that will effect that # including age will lower your chances of getting prego..
Also remember, it only takes 1 sperm to impregnate a woman and finally, a vasectomy is covered 100% by most insurance companies (that's right)

up to 40% of all births.. the men raising the child is not the biological father.. so the statistics say..

I also porsted this in another thread, but no comments as of yet, but I There is something that I dont have clear... testosterone is sometimes use for impotence, and it increases our libido... for example I am on HRT 200 Mg/week... +++PARDOM ME HERE++++, MY libido is high, my sperm is milky white, abundant and thick.. as normal... SO how come we become infertile... could it be that on the semen itself there is no sperms..... meaning , semen is the transport vehicle for sperm, so on HRT semen will be normal-abundant,but sperm will bre greatly reduce?
I ask, because I am on HRT 200mg Test E a week...I am 35 and I am a bit concern..
BRos.. this si getting confuse.. if you are on HRT.. lest say 200mg/week...what do you do from keeping your nuts from shriking? On most book they handle the HCG subject in PCT... nothing on HRT...

HRT is not an exact science bro.
Bottom line is that some ppl need 100mg/week others 150 or 200. So its a lot of variety in how ppl respond. However to understand how the entire thing works here is it is:
Pituitary sends signal to the testies to produce test. This signal is LH. Once the test is up estrogen raises and pituitary shuts down the LH.
Its a simplified explanation here but this is the cycle. What you do on TRT you just break this cycle and add testosterone. To combat the shrinking nuts you need LH.
I mean there are more things at work here but for the sake of simplicity this is how this works. In order to have kids you need to somehow stimulate your LH production so the testies can make their own test/sperm. THat can be accomplished by using HCG, or clomid or nolva. HCG is your best bet though.
You do not want to let those nuts shrink too much or for long period of times because there maybe a point of no return there in some cases. If the nuts get unused to restart them again it may take up to 6 months using HCG.
I personally use HCG as if I would do a cycle. At the end of 2-3 months I start using 1000iu every 5 days for 3 weeks and the nuts are back. I avoid using HCG all the time, just becasue I do not know the long term constant use will do. So, using it few times a year is just fine. I hear ppl use HCG 2x@250iu a week too. THat's just too much pinning year round, mixing the stuff, and keeping it refrigerated etc. Pain in the ass
I cannot believe the lack of knowledge many doctors have in explaining this stuff to their patients. If you have to come here to get this stuff explained bro, I would be very worried about the doctor who prescribed your TRT.

I wish there was a definitive answer to this. I would like to have kids and I am only 27. I have low test but I am producing sperm ok. My sex drive is down and doc has me on clomid which is not helping. I'd like to be done with it and just go on inject to look and feel better for the rest of my life. They are hesitant to do this because of my age....
Yea, doctors worry way too much about this stuff....to produce sperm you do not need a lot of testosterone. But for well being you need a lot more testosterone. I mean you can produce sperm with a test level of 300 but it does not do jack for you in the gym.
If you worried about test levels, start using HCG at 250iux2 a week. HCG will tell your boys to shape up and produce more test. But that's just temporary and will go away when you stop
Regardless, with the right combination of test/HCG you can go on TRT and be fertile I'm proof of that. Many docs are afraid of lawsuits and plainly misinformed that's why they shy away from this stuff. It is very important to find the right doctor who knows his stuff

I am not looking for counsel... just for experiences ya'll had on the types of HCG therapies involved in HRT... My question is not even dosage related... as more as continuity... Just like in theory, Test E is taken every 7 to 14 days.
So it boils down to this.. is HCG administration during HRT should be weekly, monthly, of quarterly?
I read that HCG should not be taken for long periods of time...

I've taken HCG in every possible way, 2x250iu/week Or 800-1000iu EOD OR 1500iu E4D you name it They All Work!.....but I don't take it for longer periods than 1 month for the high dosage or 3 months for low dosage(mostly when I cycle heavy androgens) because IMO there is no point. As long as it revives the boys then its fine. It actually takes another 6-8 weeks sometimes for the nuts to shrink again maybe longer. So, now I do it few times a year as I used to do it while I was on cycles. To me this is fine.
When I had my kid I was using HCG at 250-500iux2 a week and I was about 2 1/2 month into a cycle AND I was also taking dostinex
I was blowing some loads that I was proud of....it was great!!! 
To answer your question, it's Quarterly 800iu E3D for up to 1 month right now
(This is my own set dosage based on my experiences with this stuff)
If I have to give you an answer about HCG usage take it at 250iux2 /week in order to be able to have kids any time you want. Once you tired of pinning then go to maintenance and use the quarterly method.

I am deserately waiting my bloodtest in late June to see if the prescribed clomiphene has done the trick. Sex drive is nill and I have reached a point where I think I can handle pinning test for the rest of my life if it means feeling better.

I have hypogonadotropic hypogonadism which is a problem w/ my pituitary. How often would the hcg need to be administered to increase fertifity?
Or can it use be negated until trying to concieve?
