How's Pompano beach?

I'm not familiar with Florida but have been considering a move there. I'm looking for something in or within 15 minutes of Pompano beach.

How far is it from south beach?

Are there many teenagers living there?

How is the night life?

If Pompano sucks, what are some good places to live w/in 15 minutes?

Pompano is about an hour from South beach. Culturally, it is light years, but unless you are Spanish or gay, SB is not such a great spot anymore (though they do have some world class restaurants.)

Teenagers ? Not really sure.

Night life? In Pompano itself, it's OK....in Ft Lauderdale (Pompano is close) actually pretty good - also pretty good in Delray Beach and West Palm beach - each not *terribly* far.

Pompano is an Ok place to live.

Pompano's not too bad... Average age is 80 tho.

So W Palm Beach is pretty tight? I've narrowed it down to Pompano and W Palm. The school in Pompano beach is only 6 months long and the one in W Palm is 10 months. Either way, I'd probably relocate to Miami once I'm finished with the school.
