Clear Channel pulled the plug....only affected a few markets.....but, it seems to be the direction this is all headed....fuck....i don't what I would do in the morning. shit keeps me sane.

honestly, i think it has more to do with his ratings suck these days, and he's not generating publicity or controversy anymore. Translation: His "schtick" has gotten old.
 
anyone here ever heard of bubba the love sponge? He is the #1 shock jock in florida and he was fired by clearchannel yesterday.I think this is just another example of goverment controling what we hear and see.
 
ClearChannel is the most POWERFUL entertainment media conglomerate in the world.

Stern could car less about FCC and their fines. But ClearChannel dumping him, is like a career ender. It's like getting dumped from the NFL and going to the XFL or USFL or something.
 
Howard Sterns sucks (he always did imho) but this is no reason for the FCC to pull the plug. FCC, CRTC (Canada) should not exist in a free society.
 
They axed "Bubba the Love Sponge too.
 
Someone else well pick him up. Clear channel is pretty the main player in the radio business but not the only one. Radio personalities get fired all the time. Nature of the beast.

Exactly! Sensorship in this country has gotten WAY outta control. Im actually ashamed to call myself an American in light of all this B.S. that going on right now.
