ok, so how well does the birth control pill work?

ive been with my g/f for about 2 yrs and we always double up. she uses the pill, i use a rubber. im not worried about her having std's i just really really dont want a kid. i hate kids and am in no position to care for one. every once in awhile we dont use a rubber and let me tell you how i hate condoms. feels like there is a plastic bag on my dick and it takes me forever to nut. so if she takes her pill religiously every day at the same time and i pull out and dont dump my load in her, i should be pretty safe right?

I was on the pill 2 years ago, took it faithfully..Every day,same time, etc..Never was on any antibiotics..Well I now have a 2 year old son that was concieved while on the pill...

yea, the pill has always confused me. arent the pills basically estrogen pills? so the body sees that estrogen keeps coming in so it doesn't build up the uterus wall or however the hell it works. one thing i dont get though, if women supplement with estrogen, how does their natural production not get shut off just like when we take test?

actually, does anyone have a link on how the female endocrine system works? like do their ovaries make estrogen, how do they get testosterone in them, stuff like that. im curious.
