How wasted? Car hit and run.

Hit and run in the parking lot.

HOW WASTED DO YOU HAVE TO BE to think you can park between my car and those bushes???

Ok – so it sucks to be me, I can deal with that.

So I know who hit the car (small town - everybody knows what everyone's doing or has done), I know who owns the car, I know where the owner of the car works & lives and I know the driver was recently (2 weeks ago) arrested for a DWI. (Owner and driver are two separate people – involved romantically.)

The police know who it was, an officer in the local precinct knows the car and has seen it after it was damaged from hitting my car and was unaware of the connection until about two hours ago.

I have physical evidence: the paint that I removed from my car and the passenger mirror from the car that hit me.


So my question out to ya’ll is………..

What would you do?

1 – A ration reaction/plan
2 – A non-rational reaction/plan


Please answer either or both.

Let the police do their job.

If you really want little or no headaches you can contact your insurance company and they will pay for your damage sans deductible. They will then go after the responsible party and attempt to collect. When they get paid, you should get your deductible back.

I felt the same way - this has happened to me twice in 11 months in the same parking lot.

Yes, that's a 3 series BMW. You should see my mustang right now. I've got a semi tire impact on one side, and on the other (driver) I was hit by a nissan SUV. My car looks like shit.

my friends are the worst drivers. literally my school is known for having the worst drivers. they've hit drunk people before, students in the parking lot. it's so funny. now our school was just redesigned so you can go 50 in the parking lot!

Rubbed the paint off my car - I don't have photos but I do have the passenger side mirror and a local precinct cop had seen the car with the damage (he lives around the corner from the owner).

I have a witness - but she is afraid the owner will beat her up. (Yep - actually *fear of being strangled* were her exact words.)

Nice huh?


Wait til next year.
I'm a nice person but I do have a nasty revenge streak.
