How to throw a fotball??

Fotball isnt a big sport here, infact its almost not a sport. I think there has been started a few teams the last years, but other than that, its virtually unknown. Well me and my brothers have bought outselfs a fotball, and we like to throw it around. But none of us has the faintest idea how to throw the sucker. Any advice?
 
its not..ive never thrown a fotball before. like i said, its not a big sport here in Norway. its even smaller than bodybuilding. And we have like 1 bodybuilding hsow a year in the whole country. So tell me how to throw, how to grip the ball, and so on.
 
Haha...sorry, I seriously thought you were joking. Umm well I'm not a quarterback but just place your fingers on the seams and it should come naturally, take a step foward with the opposing foot on the release, that will give you a little more power on the throw. If you're trying to throw really far it helps if you snap back a foot or so before throwing. Umm thats really all I can think of, maybe someone here played College ball or something and will give you a few more pointers.
 
yeah thats basically what ive been doing..about the seems, just place the fingers over them or? My shoulder is crap today after throwing for an hour yesterday..but it was fun as hell..

The fingers just a tiny bit over so on the release it will have a tight spiral, enough so that if you could picture your fingertips leaving the ball on the throw they would last touch the seams and give it that extra rotation. The more rotation on the ball the better the accuracy on the throw.
 
yes, yes, the rotation is the key. Sort of like backspin on a basketball. Most QB's use finger placement that resembles this

yeah i used to throw javeline before. not any good, but im guessing i can use some of that when throwing a football. But my shoulder is hurting, so i gotta take it easy.

lol keep laughing bitch..yeah i said bitch. im just throwing the ball for fun, i have no intension of playing. bodybuilding is my game..and the bigger muscles the more sore you get..so thats why im sore :)

Lack of muscles = soreness. What do people do over there for recreation? No football, no bodybuilding, no pretty girls, etc...?

You plan on staying there the rest of your life? Or you going to migrate after school/ college/ whatever?
 
soccer is the thing over here. andi hate the shit. it aint fun at all. But i liked throwing the football around. its just for fun. i dont really like to do any physical activity beside my bodybuilding, i feel it decreases my rest period.

I want to move to calif sure. But what would i do there? I work at a gym now, and that basically what i want to do.
 
You could always work at a gym in Cali. Or you could learn something like computer graphics, web design, etc.. and help the up and coming / wannabe bodybuilding stars market themselves. I know the owner/pres of the Johnathan Club in L.A. if you need a job there, I can land you one. It is a country club establishment, very upscale and you can work at the Beach Club in Santa Mon.
 
UM, NO, ANY TIME YOU DO A LOT OF AN ACTIVITY THAT EXERCISES YOUR MUSCLES IN WAYS THAT YOU HAVEN'T TRAINED THEM, THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SORENESS. THROWING IS ACTUALLY A STRENUOUS MOTION, ROTATOR-CUFF WISE.
 
im not a american football player, but have you ever tried to throw a ball properly (i,e, cricket style)

i threw a football using principles from it and it seemed to work. when you cock your arm back to throw, don't let it hold there for too long (unless unavoidable), possibly point your other hand out at the target, hold your fingers along the seam and give it a little roll when you fire it off so it spins
 
Most importantly is to grip the ball by keeping your fingers over the laces. That'll allow the perfect spiral. To save yourself some grief, remember to step into the throw and use your hips to generate more power. This, with practice, will allow the long bombs that are critical for the BIG plays.
 
Two weeks ago I completed my level of qualification for coaching football (what a waste of time)

and they show us how to throw a football!!!!!!!!!!

Throwing the Football

Release 5 Points

1. Keep the ball in the trigger position.
-between earlobe and armpit

2. Throwing Circle
-release the ball at the top of the throwing circle

3. Transfer Weight
-back foot to front foot
-aim belly button at receiver
-front foot slightly left of receiver

4. Back Elbow
-let back elbow break plane of back
-keep elbow in
-don’t force

5. Release
-index finger last to leave ball
-palm out and away
