How to stay contest ready?

Alright guys, just a quick question, I have a contest in about 11 weeks or so and i show up contest ready that day, What if I got a contest a month after that again and one more after that. How would I manage to stay shredded? What changes would I have to make to diet and what about my cycle should I extend it or what? Currently I am doing one getting good results will be ready for the contest, just cant figure out how to stay in that "contest ready" shape for the next upcoming contest in the following 2 months. To make it simple I got contests lined up till march and want to show up in top notch condition in all of them, how am I suppose to manage that?

I spike carbs the week after the show and then just revert to precontest dieting once again. Same drying out procedure every time. It gets rough the longer you go on for. Sore joints, fatigue. Whatever gear you're running I'd just keep at the precontest dosage throughout. Good luck. It's miserable.

Look into reverse dieting. That is the correct way to maintain conditioning between shows. Assuming you were where you wanted to be on body fat, the goal would be more maintenance between shows more than anything. Probably very close to your normal precontest diet at a slightly higher calorie level

I was there last year. Done two shows a month apart and mentally it is just a mind f-ck. I took 4 days off from dieting and gained 13 pounds after the first show, mostly water. The bloating can be very deceptive to actual fat gain on a post contest binge but I did gain a small amount of fat during those days. Going back on pre contest diet right away and loads of water dialed me back in. I haven't used gear before and the pre contest catabolism killed my energy and sex drive staying in that condition that long. I would back off your diet for a few days after the first contest and gain a lb or two during that week off, then hop back on. This is coming from someone who didn't use juice so I'm not sure how much help it brings into the game precontest. Have your cheat meals for a couple days, them snap back into.

Thanks for the help brother and I am sure the diet stays the same either your on juice or not. Its just that protein synthesis on juice increases so you can stuff in a lil more protein then you could have naturally!
But anyhow you seem like someone who knows about diet so a quick question what do you think about this diet I am on:
Stats:
-15% bf
-198 lbs
-5.8

- Day 1
200 carbs
220 protein
20 fat

- Day 2
100 carbs
220 protein
20 fat

- Day 3
20 carbs
220 protein
50 fat

- day 4
20 carbs
220 protien
20 fats

Repeat

I have to disagree with all of the above.

If you;re cut, all you need to do is eat clean and you'll stay cut. I was still cut a month after my show and I was eating crap. You don't lose it that fast. Most pgtos shoots are a couple of weeks after a show and most guys say they look better than they did the night of the show.

Use Mast. It keeps you freaky hard and vascualar. Using it for an extra month will just do it more so. You lose it quickly afterward, but you'll be a rock while on.

Keep training pump style. Cut water only the day of the show.

That's it.

It's hard to say what works best for who when it comes to diet. I'm far from a nutrition expert or bodybuilding coach, I only know what works for me. I've learned what works best for me is gradually decreasing calories below maintenance slowly, in stages. It always takes me 10-11 weeks to get sub 6% body fat. I cut out sugar completely except right after a heavy lifting session and take in all my calories in complex or fibrous carbs, protein and healthy fats. The macros aren't as important to me as the amount of calories I am below maintenance. You need to figure out about where your at in terms of calories where you can simply maintain your weight. Then I just subtract 200 per day for the first couple weeks. Then three hundred per day for the middle, then I usually up the calories as I'll add in more cardio towards middle end. Then the final like 2 or three weeks I may drop another 200 to dial in and maybe add in h.i.t cardio. But it really all depends on how many calories your body needs to maintain its weight, and subtracting from there. I also lift heavy right till the last two weeks. It's worked for me, it keeps me a little more mass then going light weight high rep. I always found your body gets used to being in a calorie deficit, your body being smart will make up for this by lowering its metabolism so you have a new maintenance level. Therefore I always thought for me, to gradually lower cals through precontest diet. If your body gets used to it, lower cals. Or add in more cals and do more cardio. I always felt it's the hardest to get rid of that last like 2% body fat because your metabolism slows down so much from people dieting too hard to the point there body is used to eating a low amount of calories. This is when I throw in caffeine and ephedrine hcl for an energy boost. I think that going as low in cals on the last day of the diet you posted is too low, even for a day. It's all trial and error man. Like I said, this is just what works for me, someone else may think this sounds retarded, but I was 204 lbs and fucking shredded in my last show at 6" tall no juice. Trial and error and taking all the advice from these smart fellows on this site like the guy above me mr Montana. Take all the advice you can, and try it out for yourself n see what works. If it doesn't work, tweak it and try something else. Nothing is written in stone.
